one quarter of JC life gone by

Blogging is a weird thing. The more frequently you blog, the more you want to blog. As you delay your entries, eventually you lose the urge to write. And because you've got so much to say, you know you're gonna take a long time and so you push it to the bottom of your to-do list again. Haha that's what has been happening to me.

So now I shall simply say what I have to say about today. And over the weekend I will put up those overdued stuffs I want to share. Now that it's school holidays! =D Yay!

I ended the term with a rather lonesome day. Because I procrastinated doing my Geog assignment for two whole weeks, and somehow always ended up sleeping when I was supposed to do my Geog, I skipped every lesson other than Math and Geog to complete my assignment. It was madness. Went to the library right after assembly and stayed there ALL BY MYSELF till 10.50 when I decided I needed a break and somone to talk to and get in touch with civilisation again! Haha seriously I was going crazy staring pages after pages of volcanoes. So thanks YingWei for being such fun at Math even though you kept kicking my ass and poking me with your pen!

Anyway, Math lecture was rather fun today. Mingxia is a funny guy, despite having stolen my seat. Lols. He claims his doctor says he can't eat my colourful biscuits. But he stole some anyway cos he was too hungry. Tsk! We collaborated with Amanda and jacked Yingwei so much.

Xia: "Eh, stop playing and pay attention la!"
Yingwei: "Yah lor, Mengqi! Pay attention!"
Xia: "I was talking about you, not her!"

Yingwei: "Eh, I want the biscuits."
Me: "No leh."
Amanda: "Mengqi please feed your dog!"

Yingwei pokes me with her pen. I say: "Amanda please take care of your pet dog!"

Haha poor thing! But it was rather fun really. Oops! Lols.

So after Math I skipped Lit as well and went back to the library to continue my assignment. =( Thanks goodness I metAshely and Jayce there. Otherwise I'd probably have cave-man-ised. And I finally finished my assignment. Which was a freaking 6page long essay. 4hours in the library plus more hours at home last night!

Oh yes I so need to complain about my PW teacher. She's insanity through and through man. Okay I admit that it's my fault for skipping PW in the first place, but she went really bonkers about it! She called me when I was sitting in the void deck with Sarah, Peiyan and Fang. Asked me where I was. Said I was at the sick bay. Obviously she didn't believe me and asked me to go up to class. Alright, I went.

PW: "Where were you?"
Me: "Outside the sick bay."
PW: "What were you doing there?"
Me: "Waiting for my mom to pick me up."
PW: "If you're sick why are you still here? Why aren't you home yet?"
Me: "Cos I told her beforehand my day ends at 3.10pm and it's inconvenient for her to come any earlier."
PW: "Why 3.10pm? Because obviously your lessons end at 3.10pm right? But what's the point, you're not even in class! And who were you with at the sick bay area? I'm sure I heard voices of celebration!"
Me: "I was alone."
PW: "Then why were there noises?"
Me: "Cos there were people around me?"
PW: "Who are those people?"
Me: "Er, I don't know?"
PW: "Why don't you know? Why were they walking around? WHO ARE THEY?"
Me: "Huh. Going to classes? Going home? Waiting for the lift? I don't know!"
PW: "Fine. So now can I invite you back to class? Or are you so sick you need to go home?"
Me: "Sorry. I'll go downstairs and get my bag and come to class. Since my mom will only be coming at 3.10pm anyway."
PW: "If you lose your bag, don't blame me."

Isn't she just CRAZY? How on earth would I know who were those people walking around me! And what's with the 'if you lose your bag, don't blame me'! Nutcase man. And I really don't see the point of me going up to class for 10minutes cos my whole group wasn't there. Haha. So spent the 10minutes bitching about her insanity and dying in my jacket (cos I had to act sick yea?).

And the 3.10pm bell finally went off! Went to the gym with Sarah and Peiyan and Wx. Think I ran a little more than 4km on the treadmill! And now my legs are kinda aching. Haha. But I seriously need to burn off all the fats after junking so much. Though I think dinner at Subway defeated the whole purpose anyway. Haha.

Horray and it's June holidays! =D

Season has officially ended. We came in 2nd. Final score against Hwa Chong was 35 - 38. We fought a hard battle, gave our best and played a good game. Yes, we were sad and it hurts, but the team stood together and held each other through everything. Through the tough trainings we grew stronger; through the mistakes we learnt; through the games we improved; through the tears we grew closer.

Though we were trailing in the first quarter, we managed to fight back and played Hwa Chong to a draw in the 3rd quarter. We really wanted it and everyone gave their all. When the final whistle blew, we cried. But we've dried our tears. There's nothing to cry over. We did well AC netties! I'm so proud of everyone of you. As long as we keep our hearts of a champion, we'll always be the champions in our own ways!

Friday

• Had a super duper horrendously long training in the morning. 7.30am - 1.30pm. We are a bunch of mad people.
• Went home ordered McDonalds in because I was too lazy to think of anything else.
• Watched "Poseidon" with my family in the evening. It is a fantastic show, a more exciting version of "Titanic", but with themes like trust and friendship too. A must-watch! I cried even though my annoying little brother was sitting beside me. Haha.
• Made my way to Anchorpoint for a meeting with my batch of Ex-cos of Council and Ms Ridz to finalize the June Camp details. Did a great deal of catching up and gossiping with Hafizah and Ms Ridz. Realized Commonwealth is rather corrupted now. Tsk. Had iced chocolate and tiramisu for dinner at Secret Recipe. Heh, Ms Ridz's treat! =D

Saturday

• Woke up early and went for facial. I seriously think they should introduce anesthetizer for such sessions. It was SO painful I wanted to suffocate myself with the pillow and die! Rah. But I'm quite happy with my eyebrows now. Hee.
• Met Sarah at 2.30pm and headed down to town, with an intention to DO SOME WORK. Went to Plaza Singapura to do some kind deeds, like donating money to our schoolmates doing Flag Day. Haha I was supposed to be one of them but my classmates were all busy. Donated to Charissa cos she was the first person we saw. Haha. Sarah was dying to donate to her eyecandy but he was nowhere to be found asking for donations. Lols!
• Yea I KNOW we're supposed to do work but the shops were just too seductive to ignore! Haha. Anyway, went to Hereen and saw heaps of EYECANDIES at New Urban Male! Hee! I will definitely get my NUM heels soon so I can go back to the shop soon! Oh but I just found out those brown heels are gone. =( Hmm but white ones will do nicely too. =D
• Peiyan came and join us afterwards. Went around scouting for a nice bag but couldn't find any. Ended up doing some accessory shopping at Top Shop. Haha.
• Peiyan left for dinner with her class.Sarah and I headed to Lido for dinner and then Starbucks at Wisma for night snacks and finally do some work. Had strawberry cheesecake and banana caramel ice blended. My goodness it was heavenly! We finished the cheesecake in like two bites. Haha. Took out our work but ended up people-watching and gossiping about birdies and bees (no it's not what you think). I love such a tai-tai life. Haha.
• Decided that we weren't being productive at all so went to walk around town again. Met py with her classmates at Cine and joined them for pool at Meridien. I found out that Stanley is such a lazy thing he violently objected to walking one bus stop from Cine to Meridien. Hahaha. So took bus with him in the end while Joyce and Hwee Yi walked. In the end they reached earlier than us. Lols.
• Saw Ashley, Shawn , Mingxia and gang at Meridien. In the end the girls didn't play at all. Something really stupid happened to me. As I was getting off the high chair, the chair tipped forward while I was still on the chair and in order not to fall flat on my face I tried to push the chair back with my hand while it was still falling forward. My attempt to salvage the unglam situation didn't work. I ended up spraining my finger instead. And I simply love py for holding back the chair as I jumped off the chair in desperation. Otherwise it would have fallen to the ground with a loud clash! Hahaha. Yes, so that's me and my dumbness.
• Spent 8hours in town! And I saw my eyecandy! Wee! =D

Sunday

• Training in the morning. We ran 2.4km again. Okay I didn't do too badly. =) Took pictures for Coach's farewell card. I bet the make-do photographer Amos had a good time laughing at our spastic poses. Haha.
• Cabbed down for Math tuition. I was struggling to stay awake.
• Rushed home to sleep. I was so tired I couldn't be bothered to bathe, so I slept on the floor. Haha. Woke up aching all over.
• Birthday dinner with py, sarah and wx at Swensens! =D

Tuesday

• Developed the netball pictures this morning. I did something really horrible. Haha I hope I don't get struck by lightning for this.
• Went to school to finish up Coach's board.
• Headed to King Albert Park to get some real work with Vicki, Sarah and Wx. I managed to complete one summary in like 4hours? Haha. Progression from Saturday!]
• Sarah and Wx were hilariously spastic. Lols I shall put the videos up when I have the time! Haha.
• Great, now I have to go complete my overdued Comprehesion and study for Math test.

Netball played our semi-finals against TJC today. My goodness, they are seriously a retarded bunch of people put together in the same school. Not only did they copy our cheers, their teacher-in-charge complained that our councillors were too noisy cheering and disrupting their shooters' concentration! What the hell! IF. Just IF you get into the finals, are you gonna tell the whole stadium to shut up so that your shooter can shoot? Please! For goodness's sake, don't embarass yourself! If your shooter can't concentrate then it's just too bad!And it's not like we said anything when your silly copycats screamed "Defence! Defence! Defence!" when the ball was on our side. Next time you play an important game, get ready some decent, ORIGINAL cheers before you send your supporters down. And "Offer, *clap clap*, offer, offer, offer, offer, offer." is pure dumb. Whatever happened to creativity that's supposedly instilled in our modified education system man?

I think supporters do make quite a difference. The whole atmosphere was so much more lively and it's really encouraging to hear our school name echoing around the hall when the team is fighting hard on court. And it's so nice to have people cheer for us after we do our AC whoosh. Thank you guys!

And the umpires were how damn biased! Obviously Nana got the ball first and yes, we know it's an interception but if she got the ball first and she gets knocked then it's freaking not her contact! Netball Singapore should seriously do a proper review on their umpires before sending them to umpire games. If it's some minor game and the umpires are not qualified, I understand. If the umpires are strict on both teams, I understand. But this is the 'A' Divisions Semi-finals! How can the umpires be so careless! Grr. But clean and proper, we won anyway. 44 - 27. Which means WE ARE IN THE FINALS! I am so damn excited about it! Yes people, we've come so far and we're gonna be the team who wins the championsips! =D

Anyway, we went for team dinner after the match at Hougang Mall. It's like foreign land to me. Malaysia seems closer to my home. Hahaha. Stuffed ourselves at Han's and went to Gaby's place afterwards to do a farewell board (cos it's too big to be called a card?) for Coach. Gaby's chihuahua is really cute and fat! Haha. Watched "So You Think You Can Dance" and laughed like mad women at random comments. We are such mean people. Haha. And Shu Hui lost her voice halfway somehow. So for the rest of the time she had this husky, sexy and almost negligible voice.


Left for home at about 10 and yay tomorrow's another HOLIDAY! I just love school. Only had Chinese class today because of netball, and tomorrow's a holiday, Wed's gonna be a short day, Thurs gonna be finals and Fri will hopefully be another off day when we win! Yay yay yay!

School was really weird today. Everyone was so down and quiet. I can't believe we lost to SAJC. It's just so shocking, and I felt really sad. =( Apparently, the refree was biased against us and we lost by a penalty. Why? Just because we are AC? It's disheartening to see the guys train so hard, mud and rain and all, only to lose to a lousy refree. Rugby finals has been a tradition in ACJC.

School felt so... incomplete with the rugby table empty all day long. Lao Shi was so silent in class today, we didn't know what to do. I'd really rather him go back to his normal self, so proud of his rugby boys and all. I hope the ruggers are okay. It's alright, AC will always be the champions in our eyes. Like she said, winning or losing a game doesn't determine how good you are. This will just make us crave the trophy even more next year, and we'll get it back next year.

I really do hope netball will emerge champions this year. Semi's just on Monday and if we get through, final's next week. It's so fast it's scary. For all the long hours of trainings, sacrificing public holidays and Sundays, all the tears and all the hard work we put in, we can do this! Let's go AC!

Our class party has finally happened! I had SO MUCH fun! Haha. Met Shu, Matin, Mel and Irving at Taka to do some grocery shopping before we went to Wen's house. Oh, we saw this square melon at Cold Storage that costs 50bucks! It'd be like eating gold. Haha. We took stuffs off the shelf like it was free and our bill was 60freaking bucks. Just Shu, Mel and mine, not including what Matin and and Irving bought. Lols. Cabbed down to Wen's place. The cab driver was very interested in the address we were heading to. He went like "OH! So and so road HUH? I know!" I guess he thought we lived there and expected extra tips or something. Hahaha. Too bad!

Anyway, Wen's place looks a sprawling chalet with nice manicured lawns and very large French windows! It's those kind of house you see featured on Celebreties Homes. And I love the open concept with all the greeneries! We spent like half an hour oohing and ahhing over the place. Lols.

Then all the girls went to kitchen to wash and cut the fruits for our chocolate fondue that eventually didn't happen because we were all too full from the pizzas and icecreams and tidbits. Haha. They discovered that I was only good at washing grapes and opening packets and pouring the contents into bowls. Oops! Lols. But it was still a whole load of silly fun. =D

Finally the rest of the guys and the real FOOD arrived! We settled at the sitting area near the pool and pigged out. There was just so much food and dinks. Hector got all red in the face within half an hour, insisting he wasn't drunk. Haha no one believed him. We played "I've Never" and everyone drank so much because of stupid things people say like "I've never menstruated!". Shu and Carol came up with "I've never said the F word before." That got nearly everyone. Haha and I said "I've never worn eyeliner before" and all the girls went like "How could you!" Lols. Ivan and Olly ended up looking like tomatoes. Haha it was so funny.

After that we retreated upstairs to the err.. playing area? for the air con and music. Played abit of pool and danced and jumped around to the music. Haha we sang to stupid songs like "Dont cha", "Tarzan and Jane", "Boom Boom Boom" and "Barbie Girl". It was absolute retardedness. We were just short of playing "Crazy Frog". Lols. And then I went jumping and ballet-ing around the house after half of the people left. Sheryll swore I was drunk. I swear I was not. Lols. I just laughed like crazy when WengKin almost stepped on the dog poo when he treaded across the grass to the pool to find Carol and Ryan.

Left for home near midnight still feeling high, singing "Top of the World" with Yan. Haha. And the pictures!

I HAD LEMON ICECREAM TODAY! Horray horray horray! It's the best thing ever! I absolutely love Venezia! (not Venela, I realised) Haha. Okay let me start right from the top.

Had netball training this morning. I was aching all over from Saturday's training and the sun was frying us, but it wasn't too tough today. Some church was having Sports' Day in our school. How cool! Watched kids and uncles and aunties sprint with all their might. Kinda cute. Haha. I pitied the kids who ran 400m. They were like 10years old and one round of the track is so much to cover! I'll never let my kid take part in 400m at the tender age of 10, like MaeYan says. Lols. And we celebrated the April + May babies' birthday! Happy birthday Pamela, Amanda, Vicki, Gaby and Sarah! =D

Went to town with Sarah after that. It was so much fun photo-whoring in toilets and changing rooms and wherever we felt like it! Haha and I'm so happy cos I got to wear my gold heels! They've been rotting in the cupboard for ages. And yes did I mention we had LEMON ICECREAM! Got Sarah her present too. It's so practical to shop for a present with the person, especially when you've known her for the longest time. Great day!

Tsk, and I was supposed to complete all my Chinese homework AND GP essay AND my PI for Project Work. Oh wow. But hey I did manage to pack my Math file! Lols.
