crazy july

crazy july

I had a crazy month! I think it's the busiest one of the 8 months of holidays so far. There're people to meet and things to do every single day! The only days when I can laze at home and sleep till 2pm are Sundays - family day. I totally love it.

Before this month, I was complaining to Sarah about how boring life was getting, and how stagnant things were. Hahaha so be careful what you wish for!

Part of my busy days were because my the waitressing job at Loof. Though the 6.30pm - 1.30am/3.30am timing looks like it frees up your day, but it always turns your bio clock topsy turvy, so that it becomes impossible to wake up before noon. I wasn't unhappy to quit! (:

I will catch up with this blog soon, so many things to blog about! And I definitely want to do a review on all the things I've done this holidays before school starts. :D And you ask, does a month count as forever?

spending time

spending time

Embracing our last bits of freedom, Sarah and I met up for one of our lazy, girly afternoons just because we can. (: We walked around the Suntec area aimlessly, popping into shops that catch our attention, getting stuck in La Senza for a full hour, exploring Toys 'R Us like kids and of course, camwhoring.

There's a certain kind of laid-back happiness to afternoons like this, just spending time, passing time, without a single worry. We strolled while the crowd marched past briskly. We laughed at things that only we understand. We asked ourselves questions that the rest of the world is too busy to bother with.

It's a damn good kinda feeling, just living for the moment and celebrating a constant friendship. We've probably had a million afternoons like that, and we never get sick of it. I think that's the most wonderful part about it all. (:

Our newfound camwhore spot - Sky Garden at Suntec.

Sarah on the train with her purple friend. Haha.

Me, with some funny-looking sea creature. I think it's a seahorse.

Hula hula!

Shopping mirror shots - must have!

And then the changing room shots.

Isn't this so cool!

And with the pretty Topshop decor!

a beautiful moment

a beautiful moment

A sunny afternoon, sitting at Starbucks all by myself.
Toasted bagels and a cuppa caramel frapp.
My favourite slow songs playing on my iPod.
People murmuring, conversations of different lives blending.

A million thoughts floating around in my head.
The past, the present, the confusion, the certainty.

Life, rushing before my eyes, dancing with my soul.

The world, spinning ever so slowly.
And as I sit quietly, I found a moment of my own.
A solitude, a sign, a secret place.

It was beautiful.
Perhaps sometimes, you don't even need an answer.

school to school

school to school

So I broke my own record and arrived AN HOUR late for driving today! And the lesson's only 1hr40mins long. Hahaha. I woke up at 10.20am for the 9.50am, and I was like, OH SHIT. Yeah, big time.

I think I'm the worst student BBDC can possibly have. Car crashes at Stage 4. Perpetually late for lessons, and even theory tests. Messaging her way through theory classes. I think if I push it further, they might not even let me take my TP next month! Haha.

After racing through 2 test routes, I found my way to NUS to meet Mel for our medical checkup so that they know we're healthy enough to be students of NUS. Hahaha. Being the smarties as usual, we were during their lunch break!

The medical checkup was weird! There was a pee test! You see people holding their pee in a cup and walking around. WEIRD! And then the doctor would feel your stomach and your boobs. I started GIGGLING non-stop. Hahahaha! Totally embarassing!

Then we went back to AC to get our SGCs and A level certs. For the first time, we're the first from our class to collect/hand in things at the General Office. Hahaha. I bet they are surprised. I bet they remember the 2 notorious AA2 girls who refused to pay their Sports Complex fees and other miscellaneous fees. I think we still owe the school money!

And I can't believe school starts in about a week. Already!

Ex classmates, and potential future classmate!
Just a hand to hold.

road hazard

road hazard

So it finally happened.

Cutting into the filter lane to turn left at the junction.

Red light on my right. Blind spot checked. Clear. Proceed.

A motorbike dashing out from nowhere.

Instuctor slams the brakes.

The L-plate car behind ramming into the boot.

Hahaha yeah I've finally gone and done - I crashed the car. It just HAD to happen sometime. I knew it. Then today, my luck finally ran out.

Okay, I exaggaerate. It wasn't a very serious crash or anything. The car behind merely kissed the rear, and the dent is barely visible. But still, I can't quite believe that I've had an accident even before I take my Traffic Police Test!

Oh no, I'm a road hazard!

hockers hit the beach

hockers hit the beach

In succession to last year's beach outing, the hockers got together for an afternoon at Cafe Del Mar this summer again! We've been talking about it forever and have been planning for weeks, but we always end up postponing because some of us were away at camp or out of the country altogether. I think I pushed back the date at least 3 times, but we finally made it!

Our attempt to meet at 12pm failed miserably as usual. Haha, Fran, Bev, Kaiyi and I ended up cabbing down from Bouna Vista and got there at 1pm in the end. 2part days clearly do not work for me!

The weather was glorious - blue skies, white clouds, green seas and brilliant sunshine. We tried to play beach touchrug for awhile, but called it a day after half an hour. It was highly exhausting! Splashing in the sea and lounging in the pool at Cafe Del Mar was more our thing. :D We caught up on things and talked about uni and the future, and marvelled at how big and how small the world could be at the same time.

It was so lovely. We should make these girly afternoons on the beach a regular thing! Did I make it that easy to walk right in and out of my life?

The late people on the cab.

Delifrance people!

Hahaha Fran, unglam to the max!

And Kaiyi, glam to the max.

Hungry!

Then Kaiyi dropped her croissant! Hahahaha. It was funny and sad at the same time.

Hockey babes!

Fran was hopping with joy in the sun. Literally. Hahaha.

Look at how they posed for the picture. Haha.

The cap people - beach version!

Camwhore the way we do.

That's how you do it! (:

Happy people in the sea.

Bumming and chatting.

Three of us. (:

The jump shot - pool version. Haha!

Lazing in the pool, super shiok!

21 - We need to talk; seat is hot; get out. Haha!

Hockers!

Check out Khoo's cool tattoo.

With seets!

Plus Bev!

Arms akimbo shot!

In various states of getting ready for the photo. Haha.

(:

stuff your face day

stuff your face day

We had our first Samurai OG outing today! It's good to see everyone again, funny and retarded as ever. Hahaha. It's been abit weird post-camp, cos suddenly the people you spent 6days with just disappear into their own lives. I've missed camp!

After 6days out there in the sun with Mother Nature, you'd think we'd pick some nicely air-conditioned glam place for our outing. But guess what, we headed down to Botanic Gardens for a picnic!

For the longest time I've been bugging everyone to go there for a picnic with me, and then right after I finally went with Sarah, there's another picnic to go to. Funny eh!

As usual, Nut and I were the latest - arriving at 12.40pm and 11.55am respectively. Our meeting time was 10am. Haha! And that's despite the morning call our OGL, Andee, gave us. We are the hopeless un-morning people.

Like most potluck events, we had waaaaay too much food! We had enough sandwiches to feed an army, on top of donuts, jellies, drinks, tidbits and fruits. Very naturally, we settled it the camp way - games and forfeits! Omg, if there's one thing I need to tell you before I die, it's that Poker cards and food DO NOT go together. Never!

We played the Circle of Death with all the unfinished food, instead of the drinks. It is a highly efficient and highly torturous game - we cleared a whole tray of sandwiches in 20minutes! I am swearing off sandwiches for the next half year. My goodness, I've never eaten so many sandwiches in my life!

Second round was no better - there were the donuts, jellies and fruits to clear! I am so glad I brought more fruits than sandwiches. Much easier to munch on and swallow!

When we were finally done clearing the food items and all close to puking, we made our way down to Jayanta's place to give him a "surprise" visit. That poor guy almost tore his little toe off during becah games! And "surprise" because Andee sent the email regarding the outing to him by mistake. HAHA. I told you our OGL is hilarious.

With a table and constant water supply, we played the Circle of Death again, and it was a whole hour of drinking with no toilet breaks! Oh my goodness. I really don't know which is more torturous - being forced to eat, or being forced to drink. I constantly felt like I was literally gonna explode from all the liquid in my stomach. Terrible!

The next OG outing, I am going to raid everyone's bags at the start and confiscate all the damn Poker cards!

Food and cards - fearsome combi.

Hahaha they look like little boys here - Melvin, Andy, Darren and Watson (the King).

Geraldine brought her Polaroid camera!

I love the effect. (:

And more shots! The three of us girls at the back look like passerbys in the picture.

4 of us girls! (:

Halfway thru the second round - people couldn't sit upright anymore.

Hahaha look at the unglams! Andee was cleaning up food smeared in his armpits.

Nut's collection. Hahaha.

Glenn the horny gay checking out babes in Cleo!

With Gerry and Bernie.

Andy, bursting from all the donuts.
(And he was the one who brought them. Haha!)

I drew the smallest card and had to lick the bacon bits off the box! Eww!
Walking out, digesting our food.

All of us!

Andee the act-cool.

And his lousy camera skills! Notice the thumb.

Hahaha Bernie still brings a busguide around!

Outside Jayanta's place, SURPRISE!

And our ever retarded "family portrait". Haha!
