the soul singing

maybe i'm amazed

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you love me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I love you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you pulled me out of time
and hung me on a line
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

Maybe I'm a girl and maybe I'm a lonely girl
who's in the middle of somethingthat she doesn't really understand
Maybe I'm a girl and maybe you're the only man
who could ever help me
Baby, won't you help me understand

Maybe I'm amazed at the way you're with me all the time
Maybe I'm afraid of the way I leave you
Maybe I'm amazed at the way you help me sing my song
Right me when I'm wrong
Maybe I'm amazed at the way I really need you

I seldom put up lyrics here because I think it's rather silly. I mean, different people have different songs they like. That is, until I downloaded this song last night. I've been looking for it forever and I could finally download with ShengChuan's esnip account thing! Omg thank thanks! (((:

I think I first heard this when I was watching O.C, the last episode of one of the seasons. And it was so sad I was totally sobbing away! Even now when I listen to the song quietly, intently now, it still makes me wanna cry. I think it's one of the best songs ever, by Paul McCartney. It's really, really sweet and... amazing! I totally, totally, love this song!

It's been quite some time since I was last so hung up over a good song. :D I want this played at my wedding and my funeral! Ahhh!

And because I was online surfing last night, I slept at like 2am++ and I was a walking zombie the whole of today. Haha only alive when we played all the stupid games! Heh let me ask you too! Go rack your brains abit. Eh, but it'll actually require a group of people playing together. Oh well, let's see if you've heard of this before! :D We were all annoyed with ourselves at one point of time or another over these things today. Haha.

Is this a string, half a string, or not a string?

Around the world in 80 days, pick your country!

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang! Who died?

Black magic!

This is a snake. This is not a snake. This is not a snake. This is a snake. Is this a snake?

How many angels falling from the sky?

Hahaha those of you who know what I'm talking about, yes we played all of this at once and got ourselves so annoyed we were literally hopping about in anxiety and frustration! Made alot of noise in the void deck cos we were laughing like nobody's business. Go ask Xiang Un to do the angel thing! He's HILARIOUS. Haha! Yay shall torment those blur pokes like Ivan and Jarrod somemore tomorrow. :D

Eeks and Irving drank my water when he had hiccups and now I'm hicking non-stop!

"Maybe I'm amazed at the way you..." (: Bye world!

chinese roots

chinese roots

I met up with Cyn to study today and guess where we went! Haha okay fine I think the title gives everything away. Yes we went to Chinatown! The ulu of the ulu. :D Eh don't look down on that little town okay. It's super quiet and nice to study because of its very location. Heh. Oops, there I went to give it all away. Now everyone will go there. Haha.

At the rate I'm going, I think by the time As end, I'll be able to compile a whole list of cool studying places. Haha! But I really enjoy travelling all over the place just to study! It's breaks the monotony and makes studying more enjoyable, which really is the whole point of education, ain't it? To love what you do. Haha okay that sounds like Brave New World now. Too much too much! Anyways nearer to As I doubt I'll be able to afford the travelling already. It'll be SERIOUS mugging.

Oh, and have I mentioned I'm kinda OVER stressing for Prelims even though it hasn't even started? Hahaha. I figured that since I won't be able to finish anything for Prelims at all, I might as well stop stressing and just study in peace and in detail for the real thing. Like Mr Prince said, Prelims are only there for you to get your ass going. In this sense, I think AC's quite smart to have ours so early, cos otherwise I won't be starting so early. Haha.

Alright alright, enough about my study life already. (: After like, 5hours of intense studying, we went gallavanting around Chinatown and ate the Food Street! Call us crazy if you want, but the place is really quite interesting you know! It might just be my next hangout. HAHA. But I'll definitely go there again when I have more money in my wallet and stuffs in my huge bag. It's damn tiring to lug all those notes around man!

Nothing much else to say, except that I love my bitch! :D Our dates are always superb! (: And we always take ALOT of pictures. Cyn and I were saying it'd be super convenient if cameras have the infared function. How come don't have ah! Anyways, indulge me! I haven't camwhored in quite awhile now!

I love this picture! Why doesn't anybody take such pictures of me! Haha.

The decor at Delifrance was so nice!

Cyn my bitch for you. (:

MEEEEEEE!

Ooh the pretty streets of Chinatown.

Okay, this comes the part where you see alot of us.

Busy streets & tourists!

Racks and racks of cheap T-shirts.

Lovely background!

This is such a tourist picture! Hahaha.

Of course Cyn had to take one too.

We both love this photo! Although the manequine looks freaking scary.

Along temple street!

The pseudo tour guide.

She fell in love with the gates.

The aircon water dripped onto me!

Look at her emo shot. Nice?

Ahh I had to choose such a beggar pose can!

I think the colour of my outfit looks so birdlike next to Cyn. Haha!

Wheehee!

Of course, the photographer wannabe.

It was quite eerie!

Much prettier! And my clothes match the background. Haha. (:

Walking, walking.

Uhh, tourist attraction?

Fooooood street!

Skyward shot.

Can you see us?

Grafitti art, baby.

Back alley motorbike girl.

Uhh, sorry, I couldn't resist this.
MY LEGS LOOK SUPER LONG! :D
Hahaha!

Okay folks, that's all! Not that many pictures after all right? Hahaha okay it's rhetorical. Go ahead and try checking out a new place to study if you're bored. It's really good fun! Be good, you all! (:

it's friday, and i'm in love!

it's friday, and i'm in love!

The tile is Mel's favourite line every end of the week. Haha. Well, Friday was really pretty good this time round. (: Considering the fact we only have 3lessons. I love short days. Ooh and I totally love the weather these days! It's like autumn! Though I kinda miss the sunshine and blue skies abit. Especially when I'm swimming! Haha. Okay I shall stop blabbering.

The young & the hopeless in the library.

The studious girl.

The wise and the hardworking. (HAHA.)

They find joy in Math!

Boooored.

Hahaha I got greedy for lunch.

MEL THE CHICKENATOR! Hahaha!

Yups I think that was all to my Friday! Detentions on Fridays suck though. Especially when you get someone who's not quite in the right frame of mind. I can't believe the way she flirted with a student and her utter lack of respect for students! She makes studying in the library a crime. Yucks yucks, I hope she doesn't appear again until I'm done with clearing my demerit points!

Oh by the way, I'm seriously considering locking up my blog. The total lack of privacy annoys me. When I get around to it, you guys can just leave your email on the tagboard and I'll send you all the password and stuffs! I don't have to know you personally. I'm actually quite happy that people are reading my blog. But only for all the right reasons. (: Okay that is if I ever get around to it. Haha.

Enjoy your weekend! <3

changing facades

changing facades

I have been studying pretty hard! But really slowly. I don't think I'll finish anything for Prelims at all. Heh. Oh wells, it's the As' that matter in the end. Haha.

Anyways, as all sports seasons come to an end and as Prelims and Promos draw near the corner, the momentum in school has noticeably slowed down. The library and the hub are almost always packed with people and the field and tracks are pretty much empty after school.

With Shu & Sheryll in the library!

Well, on my part, I've traded my hockey stick for a pen (I know this analogy is ridiculous but I just have to! Haha.), training/slacking sessions after school for studying and contacts for glasses! Okay fine, the only point that I wanted to make is I'VE GOT NEW GLASSES! I think they complete my new mugger mode and I like it very much! Fran said (after much hints) "You look like a smart bimbo!" Hee! (((: Now I can pull off the I-studied-real-hard-last-night-and-therefore-I-can't-open-my-eyes-enough-to-pop-in-my-contacts look. Hoho.

Born genius. :D

Shu says I should put up pictures of the different faces I don - the sporty look, the go-out look, the beach look, the mugging look and blah blah. Haha and that requires alot of camwhoring which I don't feel like doing that much now.

I really value my exercise time now! I've this deep-rooted fear that the day after A's when I stand in front of the mirror dressing up to go out, I'll realise how fair and fat and flabby I will be then! It's such a gross and scary thought! I don't want to look starved of the sun and blood circulation! Hahaha.

Swimming on Wednesdays and PE on Thursdays are highlights of the week now. Yes, go on, tell me I have no life. Haha. But swimming is so relaxing! This week Fran and I were mermaids and stranded babes in the pool. HAHA! I think we did more somersaults and paddling about in the orange life float than we actually lapped. I shall take photos of us catapulting into the pool next time! And floorball for PE is so fun! I like playing with all the people in my class, including the AHers. :D Next week I shall attack! Defending & goalkeeping is too scary for my liking.

Oh yes, and I am actually pretty happy studying now that I have great study buddies! (: Yay love you all! Ah, and I to serve about 3weeks of DC with Mel to clear my 10 demerits. It's pretty cool cos at least I'll be studying instead of shelving books and stuffs. I wish we didn't have to sit in those ugly cubicles though. Oh wells.

Study hard too, you all!

I think I vaguely look like a Harvard law student. HAHA.

friday afternoon therapy

friday afternoon therapy

The week's studying has left me drained dry, but at least I've been rather productive. So this afternoon I decided to take the afternoon off and indulge in some quiet relaxing moments at home. Curling on the sofa, with The O.C playing on rerun on TV, tucked with the latest issue of Seventeen magazine and strawberry icecream on the couch on a rainy afternoon is one of the best therapies.

Have I mentioned that I really like The O.C before? I'm kinda lamely stuck on that show but it makes me feel like I'm living someone else's life for awhile! Haha cheap escapism, you might call it, but really, who cares? And Seventeen always brings out the happy, bubbly girl in me. I dunno, it's like this need to be cheery and bright when you see all those bright hues of colours on the glossy pages! It's abit like window shopping without all the walking too! Haha okay that's pushing it abit but yeah, you get the idea. (:

Hmm, I can really get used to this life. Except that I'm going back to my Channel 55 right now, and right back to my notes tomorrow first thing in the morning.

Post-script: That's not even a picture of this month's Seventeen. I just lazily took a random picture off the web. Haha.

when i kinda like school

when i kinda like school

Hello friends! Thanks for all your love and concern, I've bounced out of my depression pit and back to my same old self. :D Which may constitute alot of whining still, but no crying and screaming and tearing of hair. (:

Anyways, school was actually quite enjoyable today. I absolutely adore Wednesdays because technically my lessons end at 11.30 and I love the girls' Wed Swim/Gym routine. Keeping in shape, babes! So yeah, anyways, it started drizzling and then raining quite steadily by the time we were changed, but we jumped in all the same. Haha. I got into the pool in record time - within seconds of stepping onto the deck when one of them pushed me in because we were all scared to dip into the cold water! It's pretty nice swimming in the rain. I like the effect of the raindrops falling onto the water surface. Oh, Joel Mak's lightning system doesn't work very well; it only turned itself on AFTER the rain stopped. Hahaha. By then we've stopped swimming and started climbing out of the pool and cannonballing ourselves into the water from the plunge boards already. OMG IT'S SUPER FUN, I SWEAR! Love you all, swimming buddies! <3 And yes Vannie, I definitely drowned all the troubles! :D

The annual class phototaking session was MUCH nicer this year than the last. The photographer was patient and polite with a pretty assistant! Way more professional than last year's and alot less hasty. Haha even though we had to postpone our slot again. Some things about the class never change! Oh gosh, and the boys were such camwhores under the influence of our great Henryk Damien! I can't believe they were so enthusiastic about informal shots they took more than the girls! Hahaha. Hey, camwhoring was typically our forte! I really hope the formal shots turn out okay though. Hee.

Anyways, I finally brought my camera to school again and PICTURES! (:

When Chinese listening occupied our normal Lodge classroom for GP on Tuesday and we had to find another one. It was like a mini field-trip! Haha.

Carol's Bollywood Antic.

With Wen at makeshift studio!

Uhh, because we didn't manage to take our class photo in the morning, we decided to take it in our own hands. Hee!

The rock islands.

We look like midgets with the trees! Hahaha tribute to Ivan Lee! :D

HAHA Omg this was hilarious. Before our actual photoshoot.

With Adeline!

Hahaha then Hashim had to take an individual shot! He was utterly, utterly embarassed and kept laughing!

After school was studying with a whole lot of friends at Coffeebean. I like! (: It makes studying less stressful and mundane and I have smart friends i.e. Peiyan & ShengChuan to teach me Math! Hahaha I think I'm like the worst Math student ever. Oh wells, like I always say, I don't really need a perfect score for Math to know that I AM SMART! Hey, selfpraise is still praise okay! Haha.

Oh oh! The music at Coffeebean was the most irritating thing! If you think a CD played on loop is annoying, well, they played one same damned song for more than 2hours okay! Even if I don't ever hear Corrine May's Journey again, I'll still remember every single word of the lyric. And then when they finally decided to change the music, they played some Spanish Mambo songs that goes like ChilichiliBomBom! OMG!!! Thank goodness for SongHui's all-surround earphones. I might have died with my halfdead iPod earphones. I love my friends! :D

Two of my dearest!

Hahaha notice what studying eventually became.

New mirror trick with my camwhore! (:
