At last I met up with some of the girls in my class! :D We haven't seen each other since holidays started, which means like almost two months! So long, too long.

Initially today was supposed to be our long talked about Xiao Long Bao outing with Shu, Mel, Sheryll, Carol, May and Yan. In the end only Sheryll, Carol and Yan could make it, and we were nowhere near Xiao Long Baos. Haha! Like Carol says, we'll let our Xiao Long Bao cravings build up, and get ALL the girls to go next time. (:

In the end I was so late I was in time to meet the girls to watch Night at the Musuem. All of you should go and catch the movie too! It's damn good and freaking hilarious! Carol and I just laughed and laughed and laughed, until we stared ogling at the Pharoah towards the end. Hahaha! Yea, trust us to look out for hot guys in a comedy that wasn't exactly showcasting any pretty faces.

I've missed these girls.

If there's one thing I miss about school, it's these girls, and of course, Shu, Mel and May who couldn't make it. Hanging at the void deck, pigging out, yaking away, rushing out homework, studying for tests and skipping classes. It wouldn't have been the same without them.

We've gotta have our Xiao Long Bao outing next year! And definitely more class parties.

Sarah and I went exploring Singapore today! We kinda ran out of ideas on where to go hang out, so we decided to check out Arab Street and Haji Lane, the birthplace of many pretty pictures that we've seen on other blogs. And since we've never been there before, we'd thought it'd be fun to spend the afternoon at a different part of Singpore.

Knowing my sense of direction, I dilligently went to look up the place on the online street directory and I even printed out the map! But you see the thing was, I kinda left the map on the printer tray instead of packing it into my bag. Heh.

From Parco Bugis, Arab Street was easy enough to find. It was Haji Lane that killed us. From Arab Streets, we crossed countless roads and alleys, in hopes of finding Haji Lane. When we finally realised maybe we were heading in the wrong direction when the once far away Concourse Building was suddenly looming right in front of us.

So we consulted the shopkeeper, who gave us superb directions which consisted of "A right in front, then a left.", we ended up even further than we first were. Haha. Thank goodness for Sarah's great sense of direction, we managed to trace our steps back to Arab Street. (My job was mainly to hold the umbrella. Haha!) And from there, another shopkeeper pointed down the alley which we took, and viola! We were finally at Haji Lane.

Those of you who are looking for a different sense of fashion, pretty dresses and clutches, Haji Lane is the place to go to! Pay careful attention to the stairways, because they're cosy shops hidden upstairs too. Oh, and there's a cool icecream place called Pluck there. And all you people who make your own accessories, Arab Street has good bargains for beads and chains!

But please don't call me for directions, because if I were to go back tomorrow, I still won't know where Haji Lane is without Sarah. :D

With the rain and our jackets, I've gotten a few comments that the pictures look London-ish! And erm, to friends who have been told I went to London with Sarah for a couple of days, I WAS KIDDING! (:

Christmas day was spent with the best of my favourite people in the world (and I happen to have a lot of favourites) at Sentosa. It was more like a family thing, with my family and another family, but because I made Yiting promise to go out with me on Christmas, I asked her along! And I'm so glad I did because she made the day a whole lot more fun. :D

Picked her up at Vivocity because unfortunately lateness runs in the family and she was already there when I was stepping out of the house. Gosh, the line of cars going into Sentosa was horribly long! Singaporeans really are running out of places to go to.

Checking out the chalets that our family friends rented came as a real surprise to both Yiting and me. The "huts", or what they call it, where like, 2m by 2m, with a double bunk bed and a mirror and nothing else. Not even private toilets! I was so glad we weren't planning on staying the night. I bet the other family felt so cheated. Haha. The only consolation was that there was aircon.

We dumped out stuffs in one of the "huts" and headed down to the beach. Couldn't do much because it was drizzling and the crowd on the beach is not your usual sun-bathers. You don't wanna know what I mean. So basically the two of us just walked up and down the beach, talked alot, tried and build sandcastles and dams, watching them collapse and camwhored. Despite missing out on a tan because of the weather, it was a wonderful afternoon of doing nothing and everything at the same time. (:

Went for supper at Crystal Jade @ Vivocity later on in the evening. And our advice to you all, if you are not a big fan of Teochew food, don't go there. You will only end up paying for the nice decor, great service and huge plates of disappointments. There was no XiaoLongBao, no yummy desserts, no... Okay, whatver else I normally eat at Crystal Jade. Haha I just realised I don't know the food names.

So yups, bottomline - don't go there.

And that's how Christmas was for me, falling asleep on my brother's bed (because he was at the chalet and I wanted to sleep by the window, listening to the raindrops. My own bed is kinda far away from the window). Seems like Christmas Eve felt more Christmasy eh? Haha, never mind. Christmas is still my favourtie holiday! :D

Sarah and I braved the rain and the Christmas crowd on the eve and met up in town! Actually I have no idea why town but that's beside the point. Haha. I made someone wait for me over an hour today just so that I can pass a present to someone else. Gosh, I feel so bad. If you're reading this, I'm sorry!

Anyways the crowd in town was ZOMGX! Looks like Singaporeans simply love doing last minute shopping. It took me 10 minutes just to pay for a few pieces of wrapping paper. After that Sarah and Liying just sat down at Long John's with me doing my last minute wrapping of gifts. Sorry if you got an ugly-ly wrapped present from me, I really tried! And discovered I can't really wrap anything that's not a square or rectangle. HAHA!

Exchanging presents were absolutely lovely. (: We totally love each other's gifts. Okay, at least I would like to think so cos I love Sarah's bimbo present for me! Heh. And then when Liying left, we went over to Taka to join in the festive practice of camwhoring with the Christmas decorations. I swear we had to queue to find a spot in front of the huge Christmas tree just to get a picture taken.

At 7 I headed down to Quikz's for his Christmas party, just avoiding the really mad party crowd coming to town. I was the first of the girls to arrive, so it was kinda weird at first because I didn't anyone other than Quikz and Shox! Haha. So I decided what a better to ring home and get them to find all their presents from the hiding places I picked out earlier. I was really happy to hear all of my Mom's, Dad's and brother's smiles and laughs over the phone. The best part about Christmas. (:

Anyway it was all good after the girls arrived one by one. And then we started talking, joking around, eating, and of course, taking heaps of pictures. All of us love your Chirstmas tree and the deco at the stairs, Quikz! And thanks heaps for the great party. You, your sisters and your pretty Mom are fantastic hosts. I hope you guys had much fun too!

At 10 we left Quikz's place and headed down to Sunset Way for Kathe, Chee Png and Liren's party. Haha I only got to know their names after I got there. And I realised it was Liren's granny's place! What a cool granny, to let her grandson throw his X'mas party at her place. The doughnuts from Australia were really good! And so were the icecream. Gosh, we so need to exercise after Chirstmas.

My Christmas Eve was great, spent with almost all of my favourite people, and then going home to a very happy family. To those whom I couldn't share the night with, I wish all of you a very blessed Christmas!

One year, I'm gonna spend this day with ALL the people I love. (: This Christmas, I remember how you say blessed.

On the morning of the eve of Christmas eve, the ACJC hockers braved the sun and the rain and met at the unearthly hour of 7.15am at Redhill MRT to play the 6-a-side carnival organised by Crescent Girls. I came up with so many excuses to stay in bed, with a burning desire to prolong my 2hour sleep. But eventually I got up and was even on time!

We split into 2 teams and played with schools like RJC, Singapore Schools, VJC, , SAJC, and JJC. I was in team B and we played with the latter 3. Scores were 0 - 1, 0 - 1, 0 - 0. Even though we didn't put in any goals, I'm still really proud of all the girls because we played well for a team of newbies who trained for less than a year. Our defence was good, much credit to Fang! She's a total angel, picking up my call at 8am in the morning and zipping down in half an hour. :D It was really cool playing defence with her!

And of course, much thanks to our seniors - Luddy, Monica, Dion and Sherilyn (thanks Clare dear!) who came down with their guidance and support! We really appreciate you guys sacrificing a lovely morning of sleep.

Anyway, I thought it was a great opportunity for the team to bond and get to know our team mates better both better on and off the pitch. And most importantly, I think we learnt a lot and gained some precious experience for next year!

AC Hocks rocks my socks!

After that a whole bunch of us went to town for lunch. It was good cos there were more people than usual! (: Conversation was simply hilarious. The climax was when we were debating if flamingoes could fly, Simren declared that they had only one leg. Hahaha! My dear Sims, firstly, flamngoes have 2 legs. Secondly, they fly with their wings! It was so funny.

Jocelyn, Joyce and I were left with 2 hours to kill until Jocelyn's church service after the rest of them left. We sat down and talked at a corner of Taka until a security guard came and chase us away. Turns out it wasn't a bad thing because it started our series of crazy doings!

This was the start. Joyce was thrown into utter shock when I said I wanted to hug one of those people with the FREE HUGS sign! But I think it's a really cool idea because I once saw a video about it in the U.S and I think we need more sporting Singaporeans!

In the end I hugged both the girls and both of them got hugs as well. Haha. It was pretty cool. I turned down the dare to go and hug one of the guys though. Heh.

And then as we walked along we said greeted utter strangers in the spirit of Christmas! Haha we came up with more stupid ideas such as posing in other people's photos in front Christmas trees and joining people's conversations. We were like on some kind of high. Haha.

Eventually we decided to demand free icecreams from the teenagers giving out brouchres and redemption cards for icecreams to promote the OCBC credit card. We kept persisting that I left my OCBC credit card at home and brought the DBS one instead. And it was common knowledge that everyone applies for more than one card nowadays. Hahaha. We were so mean, totally putting the girl in a spot. We were about to give up when the guy beside her came up to us and generously gave us 3 cards. Haha! It was really fun!

Church after that felt good. (: Suddenly it felt like the whole afternoon was all planned out for us, and eventually led to the evening in church. Somehow. I don't exactly know how to explain. We made new friends who were funny and cute. And the kids there will surely melt your heart! Aww, I carried this really gorgeous kid by the lovely name of Ashton. I so totally fell in love.
