being naughty

being naughty
[Edit: Scroll DOWN, DOWN, DOWN for the update on CNY!]

Nope, I didn't skip any classes today (technically at least). And nope, I didn't attempt to induce heart attacks in any teachers today. Neither did I cheat for my GP Package test. Gosh, it gave me such a headache scanning through the pages so fast though. Eeks.

Acutally I didn't do anything explicitly naughty today. I guess mostly it's just the evil thoughts that I've been harbouring. Hahaha. Now I sound like a witch or something. But I did something really naughty with Sheryll! Not telling though! Haha now I'm being super annoying I know. And I'm enjoying it. :D

Geog tutorial with KSL was so super funny today. When Fran asked to "run to the toilet and back", he told her "You shall run to the toilet and back but you can't go in. I will run with you!". And he really did! Hahaha. But he came back after 5steps, claiming she was "way too fast". Ha!

Then when he attempted to look out the window at Mrs. Meow (because Matin claimed he saw her walking around when she was supposed to be having a class too), he unsuspectingly looked into one of the frosted window at the Level 2 classrooms while talking to us. ZOMGX his reactions was the best comedy ever. He yelped and jumped 3feet high in shock, because instead of the carpark view, all he got was a blank window. Hahaha! It was so funny and I just couldn't stop laughing! Hilarious!

And then after school I hung around school just wasting time and waiting for Sarah to be done with the netball meeting instead of going to sleep before Math tuition. When she came back down, we went to the bleachers to watch the ACSB rugby match and the ruggers train afterwards. We just sat and talked and bitched and laughed and wasted time doing nothing. (: I wish I could afford more of this kinda afternoons. It's been so long since I had an afternoon with that babe.

Okay, so I wasn't really naughty other than doing something really naughty with Sheryll (hehe!), laughing at KSL till I couldn't breathe anymore and wasting an afternoon away. Hahaha. One day I'll be REALLY naughty. :D If we made a different turn, would I still see you as I round the corner?

the team

the team

The BIG day has finally arrived - team selections. Instead of the usual pitch training, we played almost a full game with the seniors, so that Dawn can have another chance to look at how we perform and choose the team. It was a good game and we scored 2 goals! Everyone really fought and gave their best because everyone knew that it was important. We'll be a damn good team if we fight out best every game and every training. :D

I don't know about the rest, but I was really quite jiterry the whole time - the anticipation and anxiety with regards to the selections, a bursting bladder and a queasy stomache. Eeks, it was rather awful. Despite that, I think I played pretty well today, with steadier tackles, accurate sweeps (my hits were nowhere on target) and more composure. Gotta work more on those. And I gotta work alot harder.

After cool down and stretching, Dawn announced the team. Everyone was so scared and tensed, and FangLing grapped my hand like she wanted to wrench it off. Haha. But I was just glad to have a hand to hold. It was a strange feeling I had after Dawn was done reciting the 19names. I was relieved, sad, happy, disappointed, and still jittery. I guess what I really wish is for us to stay a team of 28. Ah well, but I guess you play the sport to its rules.

To those who made team - congrats! We are the ACJC Hockey Girls' Team 2007. We're gonna be the team to achieve what our seniors missed so narrowly and fought so hard for. We're gonna fight even harder and prove ourselves worthy of everyone's hopes and trusts in us. We're gonna train extra hard for those who won't get to play. It's gonna be hard work, yes, but with the same heart and goal, I really want to see this team play its best at the A Divs.

To those who trained with us for the past few months - I just wanna let you guys know that I really enjoyed having you guys to train with, and I really wish we could stay a team of 28. Each and every one of you know that you've given your best, and it's really sad that we can't have more time to improve. Thanks girls, for everything you've given to the team, and this team will fight hard for you! Keep the heart for hockey and we'll play together again after season! (:

School team or not, we're still one big family of hockers with the same passion. I LOVE ALL YOU GIRLS OUT THERE! Ahh! I'm so hockey-emo now I think I'd better go and sleep. Getting all hyped up in the middle of the night is not good. Okay, sleep. I wished I knew all the right things to say.

quick update

quick update
[Edit: Scroll down for full update on Valentine's with pictures! (:]

I have no time to blog! I guess you guys have already figured that much out. Haha. Yes, all my entries are coming up really slowly and I'm skipping alot of in-betweens because I only have time for the more significant! Which I find sad. Sometimes the smallest things are the most worthy of mention. I wish that for every minute of life, I'll have 5 seconds to think over it and write about it.

Okay, so anyways. A quick update on the updates to come. Haha. I can't promise when the updates will be done because I STILL haven't gotten down to a proper New Year post for this year! And I don't mean Chinese New Year. Hahaha. Tsk.

Valentine's has been utterly enjoyable for me. AC was so full of love and for the whole day, I breathed and ate and drank love from the air. Red and pink balloons were all over the void deck, roses and sunflowers and caberras were in abundance, and I had an overdose of cookies and chocolates and everything nice. Love ACtually was a fantastic theme. I swear the love was so thick you can pluck it off thin air, take a bite and feel the sweetness all the way in your heart. Even though we had a really long pitch training after school, the hockers made it lovely I had a perfectly fabulous day. One of my best days ever in AC. (:

And no matter how people say all things done on this day is cliched, I insist that each and every year is special and just thinking about this day makes me happy. I really do love Valentine's day so. Heaps of love and thanks to all you dears for all the abundance of love and little gifts! One of my favourite days in the year has been made even better because of you. I love all my friends! <3

Chinese New Year break, with heaps of ang paos and goodies and junk! Friends and relatives came over, the house is almost never empty, alot of laughter and endless chattering, adults fussing over me together with all the other kids at the age of 18, crossing all parental limits knowing that we won't get scolded, and oh the glorious food made even more glorious by Mommy's magic hands - I really love time spent with my family, especially during this very festive season. :D

This is the only holiday break that I will have from BOTH studies and trainings until after A's, which seems like a terribly long time away from now. I don't if I should be proud or sad to say that I didn't touch school work at all the whole of this break. Haha. Even then, I couldn't find the time to catch up with this blog! So yes, I've had a very good and heartwarming CNY break. I hope you guys did too!

The next favourite day coming up is... MY BIRTHDAY! Hahaha. Save your ang pao money for my presents okay my dear people! I know you all love me so. (((:

Woah, this year is whooshing by really, really fast. All the perfect days packed together and then it's the day I turn 18! I have to say I'm utterly enjoying myself despite the long days at school and the perpetual lack of sleep. Which reminds me I'd better get to bed now because proper school and serious studying (I hope) and intensive hockey starts from tomorrow.

I do hope I can find the time to put up the pictures and a slightly more detailed update soon!

family, friends & food

family, friends & food

Chinese New Year was awesome! Basically, like all the rest of the years, it involved alot of eating, laughing, talking, mahjong-ing and quality family time. And of course it involves having countless adults asking you the same old questions every year - "So where're you studying now?", "Are you still playing sports? What sport?", "How did you do for O levels?" (even though O levels was like kinda last year) and "How's school?". It's all really quite funny.

Mostly I love the indulgence spirit of CNY. Suddenly stuffing your face with food all day no longer seems sinful. Suddenly it's okay to sit in front of the TV talking and laughing until 2am at night. Suddenly alcohol becomes a good thing. I don't know if it's just the CNYmood or do people make an extra effort to be happy during CNY. It's like the chicken or egg question. Haha. But either way, I really like it. (: Let's just say CNY has been a truly good time.

We had very cool company this year. Like my parent's friend who just got back from Brazil recently. He learnt how to mix cocktails over there and he brought along a few bottles and made cocktails for us all! Even I got to try because according to the Chinese calendar I was considered 18 already. Hahaha.

And plus this year we had my youngest uncle and his family come over. I like talking to him and his pregnant wife. They're young, in love, humorous and intelligent. Plus both of them are quite a pair of lookers. Especially my uncle. Haha. I can't wait for the birth of my niece/nephew! I'm sure he/she will be a beautiful baby.

Oh, and I've got quite a good share of ang paos this year. Yay I no longer having 0cents in the category of savings! I can go SHOPPING soon! And yes, Yiting, that means you'll be getting your very belated present soon. Hahaha.

CNY is lovely, lovely, lovely!

Reunion at some restaurant place. There were so many people!

Mommy! <3

My sometimes-cute-but-at-other-times-murderous brother.

My pretty manicure! Mommy's friend did them for me, for free! Haha. Plus pedi too. I bet you guys are jealous. :D

Hide and seek and the monster.

The... New Year plant at home. Hahaha. I don't know what it's called!

Mommy and brother.

It was supposed be to Daddy and me but he fell asleep by the time I got dressed.

Second day we went to Quikz's cousin's place. I haven't met up with them - Quikz, Shox, Turkey and gang in so long! CNY is really a good break from school. (: Anyways we ate alot of the delicious pineapple tarts that Quikz's mom made and watched Borat and Jackass 3. Zomgx Borat was so freaking hilarious! But then I didn't really like it very much because it was so obscene and crude at some point. And Jackass was... not exactly my kinda show, even though it was funny too.

Shiyan & Ashely! (:

The lion dancing for it's $2888 ang bao dangling up there.

Turkey! He just has to look so cool.

Shoxanne!

Quikz & Shox!

I think this was the 3rd day (I can't really remember because it was from so long ago) and Mommy's god-daughters' family invited us out for lunch. And the younger daughter is so cute! I think her name is Angela. She's so smart for her age!

Because the older daughter (Sabrina) was crying when we arrived, Mommy went to her and hugged her, comforted, and showered alot of attention on her. From then on, Angela just kept staring and staring at Mommy. And when the maid leaned over to clean her face, she snuggled up to the maid and turned to stare at my mom again! Hahaha such a jealous little creature. The whole time she just refused to smile at Mommy because she didn't hug her when she first arrived. Tsk tsk!

But she was such a lovely kid with me though. The whole time she just kept passing her bowls and plates and spoon to me back and froth across the table. It made her very happy for some reason. Haha.

There, the little bundle of joy.

She immediately learnt the art of camwhoring after looking at her own face in my camera. Haha.

My brother tries to get into her good boots too.

After that I went to Liying's place. Woah there were so many people at her house! Haha. So we locked ourselves in the guest room and played cards and mahjong until Ansheng and Sarah lost like more than half of what they started out with. Oh, and mahjong is so addictive after you learn how to play! But I seriously think I need to practice stacking the tiles. Mine was either meandering or collapsing, much to the horror of Jiajun. Hahaha.

The Mahjong People.

The Non-Mahjong People.

Phuay Phuay Phuay!

KJJ, you need to thank me for your *erhum* perfect complexion. Haha.

I think this picture is so cute! It's like a family photo. Haha.

Sarah babe! <3

Phuay's cousin from New Zealand. He reminds me of my own cousin!

Jiajun being the lazy bum and Sarah the impatient girlfriend.

So sweet!

With the Ferrari.

The other twin. Haha.

I like our eye-make up.

The best friend. <3

Why, baby you're losing your charm.

love actually

love actually

It was a perfect day. I got a cab in the morning before the peak hours without having to call. Ran into Carol as I got out of the cab, and as we walked into school, we were greeted by counsellors with tiny roses to give out! So nice of them! And there were many, many hearts pasted all over the place! No one could have missed the fact that it was Valentine's Day.

The hall was decorated with dangling glittery hearts and it was bustling with excitement as people shared hugs and sweets and chocolates and other small gifts. Haha. Dismissal assembly was a chaotic frenzy. Everyone was trying to get out of the hall as fast as possible, dragging all their luggages of presents with them. I caught sight of KSL stuck in the middle of the student crowd, utterly horrified, and with S.O.S written clearly on his face. Hahaha! I should have taken a picture and post it here! Heh.

Geog lecture with Ms Nooraishah after that was the most unproductive lesson ever. Haha. She had to stop so many times to shut us up, but it simply didn't work. Everyone was busy passing presents and finishing up the last bits of notes and cards. Towards the end everyone was just chatting like we were at the void deck instead of the LT. Math lecture was no better, if not worse because the lecture group is so big. Most of my time was spent looking through the jersey catalouge with the SA6 hockers. Haha.

When we went down the void deck afterwards, it was so packed with people and balloons and flowers! Everyone was taking pictures everywhere and the cheesiest love songs blasted from the dedication system. So much so that Ms J couldn't teach during Lit tutorial afterwards because it was too distracting. :D So instead she told us stories about the Valentine's during her year at AC. We were all very amused. (:

In short, every single thing about the day was about perfect, though my presents were really last minute. Like, I ran out of sugar in the middle of the night making jelly. Hahaha. Sorry if you had to eat tasteless jelly! At least they looked nice. :D And I like the gifts I gave to the guys - they got wooden spatuals and forks with writings on them! Hahaha. So creative ehs? But I didn't have time to finish the girls' gifts though. ): Maybe I should have gotten them spatulas too. It's such a good idea! Malone actually ate his engery bar with it. Hahaha.

So enough said. Brace yourself for about a million pictures of people with balloons and flowers!

Sarah's sunflower!

My different colour caberras.

Math lecture. Look at their standing sunflowers!

The red side of the void deck.

And the pink side.

Sarah! <3

While I was at Lit lecutre. Haha.

Us again! :D

Mel must love this day. So much chocolates! Hahaha.

My NUMBER ONE comic relief! She's the funniest thing ever, I swear!

Aww, how sweet! (:

The boys. I like this picture, with the sunlight and banner. :D

Hahaha the boys with the balloons we gave them.

Ivan singing at the concourse after school. His 'Lips of an Angel' melted so many hearts. Haha.

I decided to let my balloons go because they were dirty and deflating. Totally didn't expect them to float so high! So I got pretty excited and decided to stare at the sky for a good 5minutes watching them disappear. After that everyone looked green to me for 15minutes.

Jerrymouse! (:

In Bev's silver balloon.

Yay my flowers!

Look at Ryan. Hahaha.

A proper one - Shu, Wen and Carol.

When Yan and Sheryll are finally tall enough for a picture with Oli!

I think they'll wanna kill me for posting this up!

My bouquet of roses!

Shu's forlorn about hers. Haha.

Yan the hairdresser and Mel the flower-abuser.

Sheryll's another one; she was moelesting the petals the whole time!

We thought this was sexy. (:

Our pastarol care period. :D

The coolest yet most annonying teacher ever.

Shu and Mel.

Carol and I!

Hahah they got tangled in balloons.

Me, Mel, Shu & Wen. <3
Presents!

Hockers! (:

Captain Chye sleeping and sleeping. Hahaha.

Our favourite activity before and after training. :D

My sunflower looks like a monster. Yes the green thing is supposed to bloom!

Daddy's bouquet for Mommy! So cute! <3
Hmm, and where are you?

<3

Happy Valentine's, everyone!
And to you too. (:
