"Let's get that tower!"
That was the fatal sentence of our night, coming from XiangUn. We were at Clare Quay's Brewerks looking through the menu, trying to decide on our dinner, when we sorta arrived at that conclusion. Oh and by the way, it's "that tower" of beer.
You know, there was the usual terms like, glass/bottle/jug and then the enigmatic "tower". Of course we were curious kids thinking that "tower" shouldn't be too much for the 6 of us, so yes we ordered that!
When the mysterious "tower" finally arrived, we were all shocked into laughing out loud. It was HUMONGOUS. I think if you put the damn thing on the floor, it'll be up to my waist! It even had its own dispenser! It contained 4 freaking litres of beer. That is ALOT of beer for the 6 of us at dinner, considering the fact that none of us are hardcore alcoholics (even though Mel still had alcohol in her blood from Mambo the night before. Haha!). By the time the waitress filled all our glasses (and mind you, the glasses were pretty damn huge as well), the "tower" was still half full.
Half way through dinner, we concluded that the only way to finish that damn thing was to play drinking games. Hahaha so we started playing "I've Never", the game where no one can really win, which means everyone will have to drink! :D
2 rounds into the game, I couldn't really cut my chicken wings properly and started feeling like I was gonna float off into space. 3 rounds into the game, everyone started sputtering the stupidest "I'ver Never's". The best of them included Ivan's "I've never been fat!". Hahaha that idiot! And then Jarrod looked right as me and said "I've never been Mongolia." So I looked right back at him and told him "Neither have I." HAHA! It was freaking hilarious. And then I was damn smart, I advised Shu to say "I've never jumped more than 170cm for Standing Board Jump" only to realise that my own score was 180cm++.
By the time we were done with that 4litres of beer and getting out of the restaurant, I was seriously floating off the ground and had trouble walking straight. Oh my goodness, it was so embarassing to be drunk at 8pm on freaking beer at dinner! I have no idea why my alcohol tolerance was so low that night!
We walked around, took stupid pictures, tried to push Ivan into the river while looking for a place to sit down. The whole time I was just whining for them to please just stop walking and sit down and then they decided to cross the river and walk down some stairs! I was perfectly fine going down the whole flight of stairs until I reached the last two. I vaguely remember seeing a woman trying to make her way up, so I decided to hurry abit even though I couldn't really tell whether there was one or two steps left, then being the smart me as usual, I decided to take one big step in my impossible wedges. And almost fell flat on my face. I was so embarassed by myself! Haha.
Thank goodness there was Shu and the more sober boys like Jarrod and XiangUn to take care of me and the other two drunkards, Ivan and Mel! THANK YOU! (: Haha Ivan was the retarded drunkard, Mel was the vulgar and high drunkard, and I was the giggly and "contained" (as Xiang Un says) drunkard.
We finally sat down at The Clinic and they ordered more drinks! The drinks come in drip packets (like in a hospital), so cute! And apparently we weren't the only ones who thought the idea was cute because this whole group of people walked past with their elderly parents and little kids and starteed TAKING PHOTOS OF US! Wth! How embarassing! I covered my face with the serviette as best as I could. I hope they didn't capture my face!
Oh and Ivan actually fell asleep there! Hahaha he was so funny when we finally woke him up to go home. "Huh? So fast meh?" Lol.
So that was my happening Thursday night which started with that all too innocent order. And I am drinking nothing but water for the whole of next month.
Look, The Tower! And we were almost done with it.
I had trouble keeping the chicken bones on my plate. Hahaha!
XiangUn resorted to using his hands.
The pink/purple people!
Hahaha long live Shu the Queen!
Okay, I think everyone was more or less in pink other than me.
XiangUn could walk in a straight line, and balance on one leg. And I couldn't!
Hahaha my Class Rep successor.
