kiddo lingo

kiddo lingo

Sarah came over to stay after a full day of mugging at KAP yesterday! I rushed into Macs at 10.55am with Peiyan, just in time for hotcakes breakfast. =D Then we saw Jayce, asked her to join us because apparently her studying session with her juniors wasn't productive. Haha. Then Sarah and Wx and Chris Lim came and join us. We took 6 tables and were rather irritating for a while because somehow we ended up in a food-wrapper fight. Lols.

Okay, I was quite productive. Did the whole piece of tuition homework on Partial Fractions! Fine, it's one of the easiest topics in Math but I am still very proud of myself because I have finally started mugging! Tsk, but I really need to do that more often because Terms are in like less than 2weeks' time! Ahhh!

So anyway, Sarah came over after that and entertained my brother like no one ever does. Just look at the kind of conversations I hold with my brother.

"Is there another dimension in this world?"

"What other dimension? Don't talk rubbish to me please."

"But do you know there's a black hole in this world?"

"Huh what black hole??"

"They discovered a black hole in the world! They put a cow in and the cow never came back!"

"What?! I tell you, if you bring a cow from China and put it in New Zealand, it wouldn't find its way back to China right?"

"No, but they tied a long, long string to the cow and pulled and pulled and pulled but only the string came back, NO COW!"

"Whatever please."

Yes yes, call me a lousy sister but imagine if your brother talks to you about such stuffs every other minute of the day! Haha, but this is what Sarah said,

"Oh wait, I think your brother is very fascinating. Hey, where did you hear this from? And why did they choose a cow? Where did they throw the cow in and blah blah..."

Haha!

And when we went to Jurong Point to rent VCDs, Sarah actually suggested that we all go to the playground! Haha, had quite some fun there, doing all the "exercise stations". I bet my brother is secretly in love with Sarah and plotting how to kick me out of the house and inviting Sarah over for good. I never do such things! Though who doesn't miss those younger days when skinned knees heal so much faster than broken hearts eh?

When we came back I watched my first World Cup game! Korean vs Togo. Heh, the Korean team has a cute captain. Number 9! While I drooled over the Korean captain, this was what went on in my brother and Sarah's heads:

"Look! The spectators are so packed together, if a dinosaur stomps on them they will all die because they won't have space to run!"

Mind you, that was Sarah, my 17 years old dear friend, NOT my brother.

This is my brother,

"No! Look at the ball! Imagine if they replace the ball with a nuclear bomb when the ball goes out of the field. And then KAABOOOOOOMMMM!"

I was rendered speechless.

Oh yea, and he insists that the lift is an "evalator", not "elevator". When I tried to correct him, he went like "NO! There's no such word as elevator! It is called an e-va-la-tor. Don't believe me go and check the dictionary. It comes from the word e-va-late."

Goodness me.

We went to renew our passports today. And I compared the picture of my brother when he was in K1 and the picture he just took.

At long last!
I swear someone abducted my cute brother in the middle of the night.
Haha! But to be fair, that picture was really bad.

Anyway for the rest of last night we decided to watch Saw! Yes, two brave, bold girls wanted to spice up the stayover night. Oh gosh, it was so damn gory and creepy! It's about this guy who abducts people and sets up all sorts of traps to test the victims' willpower to stay alive. How much would you bleed to stay alive? Would you dare to saw off your own leg in order to live? It was so mental and I was absolutely grossed out! But I have to admit the plot was damn good. It got all the angles covered. If you're into horror flicks, Saw is a must-watch!

But we had to watch another show, 50 First Dates, a comedy, in order to get to sleep. Haha! Which resulted in our sleeping at 3.30am and being tired the whole day. And my very bad performance at training today. =( I just couldn't get my timing right and kept on driving out too early for the ball. And there were so many bad passes. I guess the only thing I did right today was catching all the balls meant for me. I must play 500% better for our first match on Monday!

Ooh I went to Bugis Village before training with Sarah today, and while she bought her really pretty bikini I decided to try two pieces and guess what! I kinda fell in love with one of them! I didn't even have the intention of shopping for bikins initially. But on a shopoholic's implulse, I reserved the bikini with 5bucks' deposit for a week. And after I walked out of the shop I realised I'm kinda broke and I'll have to starve next week if I want my bikini!

Tsk, the things shopping does to people. I need a job! One that tolerates spoilt-ness, laziness, lateness and erm occasional dumbness. Haha! Anyone?
What if it was for real? You have no idea how much you scared me.

bad creeps

bad creeps

I went to watch "The Omen" with Sarah and Peiyan today. It's disappointing. Yea, here and there there are some artistic scenes but that's not all I look for in a movie. There's no clear link between characters, like how Mrs Beylock came into the story as a hell-sent. And the ending was just crap. In short, don't waste your money. Haha.

But the boy was so cute! He's got beautiful eyes. I think he'll shine brighter in some other better movie. Haha. Oh yea, and they had FOUR babies as baby Damien. Lols.

Anyway, I came home and caught So You Think You Can Dance and YAY MELODY i mean NICK WON! Gosh I can't remember why but I had this very, very strong impression that someone told me Mel won in the middle of the season! Raahhh. Boo to Mommy for making me switch channels before the show ended. But anyhow, I was really expecting Melody to win! Though Nick and Ashlee were great too. =) I think Jamile should have gone home a long time ago. I absolutely do not like his mustache. It accentuates the gap between his front teeth. Oops!

And I like this dance the best! Like Mia said, it's like watching a Disney fairytale. Lovely!

Now there's nothing to keep me entertained on Mondays evenings. SYTYCD was such a hot show!

pitter patter

pitter patter

It's been a rainy afternoon. I just sat staring at the rain fall outside my window, drop after drop after drop. Kinda hypnotising. Somehow I like rainy days. Just like I like the night more than the day. It feels so cosy cuddling in the warmth of home, hearing the raindrops hit the ground. Like some kind of music. And I've always wanted to dance in the rain! Though the closest I got was playing out there when it was pouring. Very fun! =)

And the pictures from the camp!

Playing dress up. Haha.

The beauty queens strutting their stuffs!

And the queen of queens!

The kids at their games.

Us at our best - retardedness.
Haha.

weird food-guys

conversations with food-guys

Conversation Number One
We ordered Macs in the middle of the night at the camp. The delievery guy came exactly one minute late. Lucky thing. I was so cranky I was already punching in the delivery number to complain. Lols. Anyway, he gave us everything and was all ready to go when Yiting called out "Wait. Where are our drinks?" And the guy went "Oh no, I'm so sorry I forgot about it. Here you go." While he unzipped a few of the hundred zips on the bag, he tried to make conversation.

Guy: "So you guys are here for a school camp?"

But too bad for the poor guy, Yiting was even crankier than I was due to the lack of sleep.

Her reply: "Oh no no, we just happened to run away from home at the same and decided to put up in school cos we have nowhere else to go."

Haha. The poor guy was lost for words!

Conversation Number Two
Sarah and I went to Marina Square for a little shopping and major mugging today. While shopping I devoloped a craving for Starbucks! So we went and ordered Iced Caramel Macchiato. It came without whipped cream. And when I asked the guy for whipped cream, this is what he said.

"Not too fattening for you girls?"

HELLO! If we asked for it then we can afford it!

Conversation Number Three
After that we went to Subway to study. Because we felt stupid just buying drinks and cookies, we decided to share a six-inch sandwich meal since we were both not hungry. But the guy serving us was so surprised. And he went like

"You guys are SHARING?" And gave us the weird look.

We told him yes, we're sharing. Then it came to choosing the sauce.

Sarah to me: "You choose. Anything but Mayo though."

Me to Sarah: "So BBQ la?"

Guy: "So Maya and BBQ?"

Sarah and I: "Nono, no Mayo please."

Guy gave us the weird look.

Sarah to him: "Oh, cos she likes Mayo and I don't"

Guy gave us the weird look AGAIN.

Then it came to the choosing of the cookies.

Me: "Er, do you have White Chip Macademia?"

Guy: "Yes, we do, but they are still in the oven. For now we have Peanut Butter, Oatmeal Raisin and Chocolate Chip?"

Me: "How long will it take for the White Chip cookies to be ready?"

Guy: "About 20 minutes?"

Sarah: "So can we come back in 20minutes time and collect the cookies instead? Cos we really don't like anything else."

Guy: "Err.. Can I say no?"

Sarah: "What do you think?"

Haha. Yea we may seem like difficult costumers but hey I bet we were his entertainment for the day!

Okay, this is a pointless entry.

At the camp.
I refused to open my eyes. Haha.

The camp was pretty much okay, and I had a blast with Yiting and HuiHui. Just that the camp food sucked as usual. The brinjal proves it all. And people were really anal about things and that pissed me off so much! Like having to sleep in a dusty and smelly and stuffy CLASSROOM! Rahh. Anyway, I was rather annoying at the camp too. Haha. I simply refused to bathe in school since they didn't allow us to use the staff toilet which means we had no hot water! So Yiting and I went to Huihui's place to bathe at the club house. It was such a good shower! =D

Highlights of the camp:

1. I hosted a 3hour-long Fun Night. That was the only useful thing I did at the whole camp.

2. Miss CSS! It was so entertaining. Haha. I shall post the pictures tomorrow.

3. We watched porn in the AVA theatrette at night. Hahaha! Okay, we just watched the uncensored version of American Pie while waiting for our Macs order. I pray no MOE personnel will ever read this.
And I should learn to stop looking for your face amongst the crowd and reading so much into those few words.

good old days

good old days

I went back to Commonwealth to help out at the Council training camp today. And all I did was sitting at the logistic table from 10am till 3pm because I'm in the games committee and games only start at 3pm. The best part? I had to leave at 3pm for netball training. Lols.

It was loads of fun catching up with Yiting though! All the gossiping and bitching more than made up for hours of manning the logistics table. =D

Netball training was quite fun today, although I felt like a running/jumping zombie at the beginning of training. We did a little of circuit, ball drills and played a friendly with Chung Cheng High. I loved the feeling of a nice interception I made playing WD! But I threw the ball away right after that. Lols. I had to play Centre for the last quarter with my fanstatic stamina! Thank heavens it was only for 10minutes. Hereby, I salute all the Centres! Haha.

Hmm. I think there's something wrong with my body parts. They take turns to hurt. First, it was my right ankle. When it stopped hurting, my left heel started to hurt. And when that finally stopped today, my back is aching like crazy. I bet the next thing to ache would be my eyelashes. Tsk.

Where we spent so many hours baking under the sun.

And this is how my day ended.
Playing netball under the pretty skies. =)
I threw a coin and made a wish - that both our days would be brighter and happier; and that someday I'll be where you are.

ashley's seventeen

ashley's seventeen

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASHLEY!

Sarah and I went to town to meet Shiyan and YingWei to get Ashley's present after the 3hour-long Human Geog Lecture. Goodness it was freezing on the bus and the bus took forever to reach Cine! We almost turned into icicles.
.
So anyway, they were at NYDC and apparently Shiyan was trying to do some Math work. Hmm. Makes you think eh. Hahaha. Yingwei and I got bored so she decided to try her new nail polish on me because six of her fingers were painted six different colours! Lols. I have to admit, DESPITE HER RATHER LOUSY PAINTING SKILLS, my nails turned out quite nice. =D And then she asked me to paint the remaining of her four fingers. My goodness, it turned out to be a disaster. It is very difficult to paint someone else's fingernails cos you can't see where you've left out and can't really gauge how thick the polish is! So yea, it turned out somewhat ugly. Haha.

When we were finally done with our nails and colouring Ashley's birthday card drawn by Xia (that guy is an artist!), we went to get her present. Haha guess what! We bought a big red ASHLEY THE RUNAWAY PIG, a smaller black ASHLEY THE RUNAWAY PIG, a pink ASHLEY THE RUNAWAY PIG pouch, and a pink ASHLEY THE RUNAWAY PIG keychain! Haha. So cute right! I mean the pigs are really called ASHLEY THE RUNAWAY PIG! Chris, Yingwei and I discovered it when we were in town the other day. =D The other presents include a stuffed monkey with moveable limbs, Royce chocolates, manymany sweets and big box to put it all in. I hope you like the presents Xuan!

After waiting for Jayce, Muz, Chris, Amanda and Jotham we made our way to Ashley's place. Met Xia, Shuqin, Daryl and Shawn at the bus stop. Took a REALLY long walk up to her house. Shiyan came up with the idea of taking out the big red pig and bluffing Ashley that that was all we could afford while somone hid outside with the big box and a Winnie the Pooh balloon and a Spongebob balloon. Haha we were all betting it wouldn't work but it did! Well done man, Shiyan. Lols. It got Ashley kinda squealing over the rest of the 'surprise' presents. Haha.

Once we were all inside the house, the guys gallantly snatched up all the seats, leaving the girls standing. Heh, whatever happened to ettiquettes. Haha but the girls ain't too bad too. When the guys made a dash for food, we took their seats! Lols. In the end there were enough seats because NICE PEOPLE like Chris, Muz and Shawn went to cook the stuffs while we the erm not-so-nice people sat and ate. Haha.

Things I've discovered about people while eating:

1. Xia is very, very, very funny. He's like the English version of Jiajun with equal level of lameness! He pronnounces cheese sausage as JIZ sausage and that had Sarah laughing so hard she almost rolled off the chair. And due to the injury of his left arm, he can only use his right hand to eat. So he used the fork with his right hand and packed all the noodles neatly on one side of the plate and said "Ahh. Pack it nicely and eat it the XIA WAY!" Following which he stuffed his face into the plate and eat straight from the plate! And his coffeeshop-uncle-language was super amusing. Lols.

2. Daryl Tay is very entertaining with his imitations of people. And I know his secret address! Lols. Maximum lameness.

3. Jotham's tongue is amazingly long. Like really really really long. He looks like a freaking lizard when he sticks out his tongue!

After eating, Shiyan, Jayce, Yating, Daryl, Jotham, Sarah and I went to Jelita to meet Andrew Yap. He had a very interesting present for Ashley. Hahaha. It shall be kept secret. Interested parties can approach me, I may tell you. And goodness, her maid was later very much engrossed in the Andrew's present. Haha. And since we were at Cold Storage, we bought a bottle of Barcadi, a carton of orange juice, and stack of disposable cups and sat the playground drinking. Shiyan got drunk BEFORE we even opened the drink. She first suggested that we sat at the gates of Henry Park Primary School but decided against it because she thought it might be considered as school harassment. Hahaha!

Went back to Ashley's to cut the cake, took pictures, sat around for awhile listening to Jon and Alvin's ghostly tales. It was quite creepy because those were actual events. Shudders. And we finally left for home when Sc's mom came a little after 11.

Had a good time! =D The rest of the pictures here. And two people in the same room didn't say a word to each other. I guess it really takes a lot and we're both not up to it.

high high high

high high high

So now I'm on some sort of a high and all I can do is GO AND SLEEP. Why can't there be some exciting programme for me like partying or raiding some abandoned house or night trail or SOMETHING. And almost everyone I was talking to an hour ago has either gone to sleep or moved on to some more blood-pumping activity!

Let's talk about my boring day then. I woke up at about 10.30 in the morning. Had breakfast and slacked around the house until it was time to go for Math tuition. I felt really dumb at tuition. The other girl went through her Binomial Theorem questions like it was a breeze! Me? I didn't even know how to do the basics! So half the time the teacher was figuring out some kickass profound question while I was struggling with the simplest of the simplest. Why does the other girl even need Math tuition? I don't understand. Tsk!

After that I came home. Was supposed to meet Peiyan and Sarah to study but I was too lazy to get out of the house. Suggested that Peiyan come over and stay for dinner but after some complications she went to study with ZhengHao and Feifei instead. So that leaves me at home alone. I used the computer until my eyes were kinda hurting and went to watch TV until I fell asleep. Hahaha. What a life.

The phone rang and guess who! It's Mummy!

"Hey listen, I'm going to Sentosa to watch the Musical Fountain now. I'm so sorry but I won't be home for dinner. Can you please settle it on your own? I'll call again when I'm coming back and if you're still hungry, I'll buy something back yea?"

Great.

Anyway at the mention of food I got hungry and ate HONEYSTARS! And then I watched somemore TV and fell sleep again. Haha. Until Peiyan called me to have dinner together. We ate Subway and Peiyan's bread was so badly cut that threequarters of her fillings were unwrapped. Lousy!

Minutes after I reached home, Mummy and my annoying little brother came home. My brother's first line to me:

"It was very fun! Lucky you not there!"

RAHH. Lovely kid eh? Then I looked at the pictures. They took 140 freaking pictures can! Half of it was of the Muscial Fountain. Lols!

Apparently they went to Jurassic Park too.
That's my mom's pretty god-daughter.
And no, she's not the one-year-old. Haha

That's the one-year-old. =D

Brave kids. VolcanoLand scares me.
Seriously.

Really pretty eh?
I guess that's why they took half a million shots. Haha.

All that without ME! =(

a good laugh

a good laugh

watch the bright lights of the city flash by

time will never wash these colours out of my life

I was playing around with some of the photo effects on my computer. Turned out pretty nice eh? I went to watch Benchwarmers with Sarah and Peiyan yesterday. We were supposed to catch the 3.55pm show at Cineleisure but somehow I clicked on the wrong thing when booking the tickets online and we ended up getting the tickets for the 5.50pm show at the new Cathay Cineplex instead. Haha.

For some reason or another, we decided to walk from Taka to the Cineplex. That's the two freaking MRT stations in heels and under the hot sun! It took us half an hour. Haha. I swear we were mad.

Anyway, the Benchwarmers is a superly funny movie! Sarah laughed her horrible laughter at least a hundred times. It made Peiyan want to stuff her head into the cushioned seat. Hahaha. I just laughed with her because the show was just too funny!

The guy sitting in front of us was even funnier. He laughs like 10seconds after we were done laughing and he laughs at really weird times when it wasn't funny at all. And he laughs like "Hurhurhurhurhurhur". Half the time we were laughing at him! Lols! I guess he was trying to impress his girlfriend with his higher sense of humour. Hmm. Too intellectual for us.

Benchwarmers has a meaningful theme too. Don't bully nerdy kids who can't do sports! And then I started to wonder what if my son turns out to be non-sporty next time? Coming to the question "Do you discriminate guys who can't do sports?", I am a sad stereotyper. Okay, I don't discriminate them but I feel kinda sad for them. Especially when it comes to NAPFA in school. That's one thing you can't escape, and it is embarassing if you run slower than a girl or can't even do one chin-up. Okay, enough of my rubbish.

Went to meet Mummy for dinner with Sarah, cos I was craving for Pizza Hut after the movie and was too broke to afford it myself. Haha. The waiters and waitresses at Jurong Point's Pizza Hut have such lousy attitudes I think they should go and clean toilets instead! One of them actually gave me a pissed look and went "What?" when I told them they sent the wrong order. Tsk.

But a trip to Toys 'R Us cheered me up! Mummy had to get a present for her god-daughter who has just turned one (does that make her my god-sister? Haha.) Sarah had a great time fighting with my brother with the styrofoam swords. Haha. All the nice playing sets with castles and princesses we saw stated "3 and above", we decided to ignore the label and bought a castle playset anyway. Haha. It is so pretty! I love Toys 'R Us. It makes me feel little all over again just walking along the aisle (tsk, suddenly i can't figure out how to spell this word) getting all fascinated by the new-gen toys. I'm a Toys 'R Us kid! =DAnd it brought back those kiddy memories of you and me.

visual treats

visual treats

Last Saturday, I went for the Class Rep Leadership Workshop in school. It was a huge mistake to be 5minutes late. I sat down at a table right at the front with YingWei, ShuQin and Wonder. All was well until this guy came and join us at the table (because there were no more empty seats!) My goodness he stank to seventh heaven! I don't mean to be mean but excuse me, can you please do something about your B.O so that people around you won't actually drop dead and die due to suffocation! Thanks to Wonder's handcream, we survived by vigorously sniffing our hands.

Didn't learn anything new about leadership. I think Commonwealth has covered almost everything there is to cover on student leadership at our level. But it was interesting listening to the teachers share their experiences as student leaders in our time. One thing I've realised is that being a class rep really goes beyond the two years in ACJC. So I'm enlightened and I shall try to do a better job as the Class Rep and find the attendance book. I am not looking forward to breaking the wonderful news to Mr Hashim!

Went for lunch with YingWei and then rushed home to change to go watch Restless III, the dance performance put up by ACJC Dancers, with Peiyan, Sarah and WeiXiang. I took a really long time somehow. And I forgot all about the time. I left house at 2.50pm when the performance was supposed to start at 3pm. Rushed like mad and ended up missing only 10minutes of the performance.

The dance performance was great! I love all the funky costumes and cool lightings and the graceful moves. SHU, YOU GUYS SHONE ON STAGE! It was fantastic. =)

Headed to town for dinner after the performance. And we revisited Sweet Talk at Far East Plaza. As expected, the vendor asked "With bubbles?" again. Hahaha! Peiyan just burst out laughing, burying her head in my shoulder. Lols. You can't blame us! You and try it for yourself!

Then we went to meet SongHui at Clementi to play pool. Okay, most of the time Peiyan and Songhui played. I gave up because I lose like all the time. Haha. I want to play with amateurs!

Sunday Sarah came over and we went grocery shopping for my Mom. My goodness. If I ever (touchwood) become a housewife I will do all my grocery shopping ONLINE. Because of the stupid 4D/Toto booth they set up in Liberty, there was hardly space for people to walk in the aisles! And being Sarah and Mengqi, we didn't know where everything was placed. So we took forever to find the things I was supposed to buy. Lols. Rented VCDs too.

When we finally got out of the shopping centre and went back, we watched Wedding Crashers in the living room. It was such a lucky thing my brother wasn't around. We didn't realise it was the uncensored version and there were nude scenes! Haha so for the whole of the beginning part I gripped the remote like a vice, getting ready to shut off the player should Mummy or Daddy walk past. Lols!

The rest of the movie was hilarious though. Haha. But you see, this is what literature did to me. Throughout the movie, one prominent thought pounded against my head: "This movie is satiric towards wealthy families. It is a mockery of rich families who are so proud of their so-called family traditions." Tsk! I am becoming weird.

Anyway, Monday Sarah, WeiXiang and Peiyan came over to watch the rest of the VCDs. We finished 3 movies in one afternoon! =D Mean Girls was the nicest. Bimboism is hilarious. Haha. Exorcists the Beginning wasn't as scary or gory as we expected it to be, and it was tiring show to watch becasue you are constantly in the state of fear and anxiety for 2hours! I still like chick flicks and comedies. Sarah and I drooled over Chad Michael Murray for over an hour watching Cinderalla Story. He is so CUTE! Oh yea, check out the guy in Mean Girls. He's one hottie too!

We should do this more often! It definitely beats cinemas.

~

Met YingWei and Chris Lim to watch Mission Impossible 3 on Tuesday. While waiting for the both of them, I went Zara at Wheelock Place alone and the salegirls were staring at me like I was some piece of misplaced ornament. You can hardly blame them. Everyone else there was an angmoh/half angmoh taitai. That's what you get for shopping alone in town at 11.30am. Lols.

Anyway, the movie was a full house. And the bad part about that is, YingWei (due to her reasoning that no one would watch such an 'old' movie on a weekday so there's no point booking the tickets online, hor, YingWei? Lols) didn't get her ticket with us. I booked Chris's and my ticket the night before online, and YingWei only decided to join us that morning.

Not expecting a full house (due to YingWei's logic), we planned to take the supposedly empty seats in front so we could sit together. And as more people came in, we moved like 3times! In the end we had to take back our own seats. =( Haha it was kinda retarded because the cinema was so small you can see everyone and figure out who took whose seats. Lols.

MI3 is a cool show! Much more worth-watching than Da Vinci.

~

Sarah came to stay over on Wednesday after netball. She woke up at 7am the next morning. I woke up at 11am. Lols! What a great host. We got really bored lying in front of the TV the whole day and decided to bake cookies. Yes, I can bake without blowing up the kitchen. =D

The cookies turned out fine. Except that they taste like biscuits. Hmm weird. Lols.

~

Woah! And it's 5.15am now. Oh oh! Before I hit the bed, I have to complain about this! No, it's not about the 4hour long Geog lecture. Nor is it about the erratic weather.

It is about the bus infested with roaches!!!

This evening I took a bus with Peiyan from KAP to go meet Mummy for dinner. I was staring out the window on Peiyan's side (she was sitting on the inside), and I spotted a tiny roach-like bug crawling on the window! I pointed it out to Peiyan and just moments later we saw a baby roach along the latch! Disgusted, we fled the seat and moved all the way to the front of the bus.

Guess what! I saw two more tiny roaches crawling out from this hole at the corner of the windshield! HOW GROSS! So we had no choice and decided to split seats, so that we would both be sitting on the outside seat. But when I looked on the floor I saw yet another baby roach crawling! All my hair stood on its ends. Peiyan told me to stop looking. But I just had to keep an eye on those bugs so that they would crawl onto me without me knowing!

(Speaking of which I remembered, some days ago, when I took a bus with Sarah, she blew a spider off the headrest of the seat in front so it wouldn't land on us. The spider landed on the man in front of us. We didn't breathe a word to him I bet this is my retribution!)

Oh yes coming back to the topic, I turned and look at the corner of the windshield again. I saw a brownish bug that was DEFINITELY A SMALL ROACH! That was all it took. I grabbed my bag and dashed down to the ground deck. Everyone else on the bus thought we were mad. But guess what again! Peiyan saw another baby roach on the window ledge on the first deck!

Good thing at that moment the bus turned off the highway and we reached our stop. Or else I would have screamed at the driver to stop and let me get off his roach-infested bus!

YUCK!

indulgence

indulgence

So this entry is so overdued that I forgot why I wanted the title to be indulgence. Yes, I know my lazy-o-meter is rocketing through the roof! Lols. What I can remember, though, is that I ATE A LOT. Haha.

19th May, after the finals, the netballers had the day off. We split into cabs and headed to Lido for McDonald's breakfast. Somebody insisted that the cinema level was open (it was about 8.20am), so we went all the way up only to realised IT WAS NOT OPEN. Haha. So went all the way down to the B1 Macs. Had a hearty hotcakes breakfast and everyone took pictures with everyone. Lols.

After breakfast we went up to get tickets for the first "Da Vinci Code" of the day. It turned out to be a long and boring show. I slept for 20minutes, and woke up to the same plot. It was just the same thing that went on and on and never seemed to end. The white guy was aboslutely morbid-looking. He made Amanda go "Oh my god." non-stop for three times when he was about to kill the main leads. Haha. I didn't like the show. I think it's better off as a book.

When the movie finally ended after 2 and a half hours, we went to the Macs outside Lido and ShuHui asked for a vanilla cone. And... 4 PIECE PEPPERED DRUMSTICKS! And 18 of us did the Kallang wave in 2 rows! Hahaha! It was so funny! (If you have no idea what I'm talking about then you should spend more time with your TV set instead of the computer. Haha.) And the lady at the counter still managed "Uh, sorry this is the desert stand. We don't serve drumsticks." Lols! Hilarious!

Then we headed to Far East Plaza for chicken rice. And had bubble tea for desert. Oh yes, I must mention this!

Me: "Can I have honey milk tea please?"

Vendor: "Sure. With bubbles?"

Gaby: "Huh? What bubbles?" (I think she was loud enough for the vendor to hear)

Next costumer - Sarah: "Mango ice blended please."

Vendor: "You want bubbles?"

Hahaha! So we all had bubble tea with many many bubbles! My goodness it was so funny we laughed till we were almost chocking on our bubbles.

After dinner at Cine we went to Reena's house to watch "Dude, Where's My Car?" and "Brother Bear". Sandy and Reena were so superly amused by the part where the machine at the Chinese restaurant went "And then? And then? AND THEN? AAAANNNNNNDDD TTTHHHEENN?" they laughed all the way from Cine back to Reena's house, even before we watched the show. Lols.

It was one mad day and I had so much fun! The netball team rocks! =D And I'll always remember how everyone looked up and listened when Kah Yee made her speech, and the applause that sounded so loudly as we walked off the stage, as champions of AC.

The next day I went to town with Sarah and Peiyan, with a mission of hunting down a nice bag for Peiyan. So we headed to Marina Square and found a really nice adidas bag! Ahh! I wished I weren't so broke or I'll definitely get one for myself too! I love the greenish-brown one.

TO ANY ONE OF YOU OUT THERE WHO MAY HAVE A CRUSH ON ME: I LIKE THE GREENISH-BROWN OR BROWNISH-GREEN ADIDAS BAG AT STADIUM IN MARINA SQUARE WHICH COSTS ONLY 75BUCKS! I MIGHT EVEN CONSIDER GOING OUT WITH YOU! Okay, I'm abit mad.

And we had the banana caramel ice blended at Starbucks again! =D AND Venezia ice-cream! PLUS Subway for dinner! AND Strawberry Indulgence and Tiramisu at Starbucks at night when we got too tired to walk anymore! I swear I died and went to heaven.

WeiXiang wanted to play pool, so we went to Lucky Plaza to check out the rates. Oh my goodness. DO NOT EVER step foot into Lucky Plaza. It's so seedy and gross with all the wrong people hanging around there! It felt like a run-down shopping centre of Malaysia/Indonesia! The male species were outright staring at us! Brr! Don't even talk about it. Just NEVER EVER go to Lucky Plaza. And just one more story to share about Lucky Plaza. The one and only time Sarah used the toilet there, a roach jumped out of the toilet bowl when she flushed it.

Monday, 22nd June. I GOT MY IPOD NANO!

And the best thing about it: MY COMPUTER IS FREAKING MILLENIUM EDITION AND IS THEREFORE INCOMPATIBLE! I wanted to explode and die on the spot. No, before that I want to sue Apple for discriminating non-XP/Windows2000 users LIKE ME! Roar! But thank heavens there are really nice people around like Chris Lim who spent one entire afternoon loading songs for me! =D

THANK YOU!
