bye to thee, pee!

bye to thee, pee!

Ooh finally done with the great letter Pee! :D I'm feeling so free and happy now I might actually float away. Haha.

Anyways, I almost missed my last paper! For some reason I can't fathom, I've always had this idea that the last paper was an afternoon paper. Maybe because my last O levels paper ended in the afternoon or maybe because I'm just weird, I was so sure it was an afternoon until a few days ago. And when Mommy woke me up at 6 to check if I've school (thank goodness!) after 3 hours of sleep, I was damn sure that I didn't have to wake up till much later. At 7am it struck me that I'm going out for lunch with my classmates to celebrate the end of Prelims so IT CANNOT BE AN AFTERNOON PAPER!

So I arrived unfashionably late at 8.10am for the 8.15am and they started the paper the moment I sat down. It was pretty shocking because I thought I would have at least 5mins to gather my thoughts and catch my breathe. Haha. Oh wells, early start early end! (:

At 11.10am we were finally, officially declared free! :D But of all mornings to rain, it had to be today. So the guys were nice (or at least tried to be) by loaning us girls their 2 umbrellas and walked in the rain to the bus stop. Haha. We took a neverending rainy bus ride all the way to P.S and ended up eating some rubbish Jap food for lunch. Ajisen sucks! Ben&Jerry's after at Cathay to make up for the horrible lunch and we watched Rush Hour 3!

I think Rush Hour 3 is quite a good laugh even though the plot is just bad. Chris Tucker is so funny! Hahaha and the little American Super Spy! Shu, Sheryll and I couldn't stop laughing at the SuperSpy ever since he appeared in the movie. Heh.

We sat next to the fountain fish pond at the basement just slacking and peoplewatching for the longest time after the movie just to waste all the time we could suddenly afford. Hahaha. Spotted a handful of really weird people, like this pudgy boyfriend with red hair and bright blue specs and on top of all that he's shorter than his girlfriend. Haha too bad if that's mean. It was pretty bitchy fun for us. :D

Dinner with Quikz after that! I just realised I haven't met up with my fellow royalty for so freaking long! And that guy is flying off to South Africa FOR FREE for a week next month. How cool is that. He told me he's going to Johannesburg and Cape Town, which happened to appear on MY HUMAN GEOG EXAM PAPER that very morning! Friends, the irony - he is actually going to places which only appear on my exam papers. Without having to pay a single cent. You'd better bring me that lion cub, Quikz! :D

Okay, I'm super tired from all the walking and 3hours of sleep. I haven't walked so much in so long. Haha. For the two weeks, walking only meant walking to the kitchen and back to my room. I so need to get use to the new life again.

Mel and her cool camera. (Or being weird!) Haha.

The smelly boys sharing ONE TUB of icecream!

Shu & I, in our specs. :D

The lights were pretty.

One of the many mirrors on the wall.
All of which said we are the fairest of them all!

MIDGETS! Tribute to Ivan Lee. Hahaha!

Trapped in bubbles!

Cool old stuffs at the mini Cathay museum place.
I didn't quite fancy the spooky music though. Heh.

These were the source of our entertainment for awhile. Haha.

Boren trying to talk to the fishes!

Oh gosh, I think I've forgtten how to live a life besides studying. And how to blog about actually going somewhere and doing something. I'm so tired now, shall go catch up on my badly needed beauty sleep!

24 hours

24 hours

In about 24hours I'll be done with the last paper of this neverending Prelims and HOME FREEEE! Yeah baby! :D I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait. I. Cannot. Wait!

Hahaha yes I know that means I actually have to take the paper first, which is in less than 20hours away, which I haven't exactly studied for but let me revel in the bliss of the simple thought I WILL BE FREE FROM ALL THESE STUDYING SOON!

Math was so horrible yesterday. Math is always horrible. I got a panic attack before the paper because my great plan to study didn't work. I was supposed to sleep from 10.30pm to either 12am or 6am so either way I would have 6hrs to read through Stats and stuffs but I woke up at 9am and couldn't finish anything and I got so scared I forgot how to press the binomial thing into the calculator and spent so long figuring it out! Oh wells.

Okay, I really have to stop feeling so guilty about being online while I'm really supposed to be studying but I'm waiting for my lunch! Haha living on home delivery is so unhealthy, but what to do with these damn cravings! Heh, and by the way, Macs is way faster than Pizza Hut. My breakfast came within ten minutes of my order yesterday! How cool is that. :D

Oh and speaking about breakfast Mommy and I were supposed to go for breakfast and stuff our faces with bagels, muffins, cakes and all nice things, but we were both up watching TV till late yesterday and both couldn't wake up today. Haha!

I hope the doorbell rings soon. I'm too hungry to study. I can't remember if I can hear the doorbell loud and clear from my room despite experimenting with my brother for like a million times. OH there it goes! So I can hear the doorbell loud and clear.

Yay I'm off to lunch to sastify my craving for good old pizza and then I will devour my Human Geog notes! Zelinsky's Theory and Burgess's Model and whatnot!

Eh wait, I really wanted to say I MISS ALL MY CLASSMATES! I miss the normal routine lessons of going to school and sitting in lectures and copying notes without having to worry about actually remembering them and breaks that are actually breaks in the void deck without lunchtime cramming. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow!

And after Prelims I want to go and cycle at East Coast Park, go for a picnic at Botanic Gardens (I am not crazy! Someone go with me leh!), some decent beach time with volleyball and frisbee, looooong swims (Sarah, Fran, Sammie, Debbie!), shopping shopping shopping, going to town till I'm sick of it, catch up on the movies I've missed, exploring places like Chinatown again and maybe go clubbing! Hahaha see I've got it all planned out. :D Just that I only have about 2weeks to party my head off with a 3day holiday squeezed in between. Hahaha.

Because I miss my classmates so, the rest of the pictures from our hilarious phototaking!

Hahaha Henryk is always attacking some male species.

Our jump shot! My favourite. (:

The boys look so happy. Like little boys. :D

Hahaha our demure spiral stairs shot.

I told you they are little boys.

And Ivan is always getting bullied!

Hashim is the man!

Hahaha this is hilarious!

The boys took soooooo many. Secret camwhores. Haha.

We weren't quite happy with that and joined in! :D
Yups, I have the loveliest classmates. (:

burning question

burning question

Hello friends! I have a burning question for you! Here goes:

HOW DO CHIMNEYS WORK?

You know the chimney goes straight up from the fireplace right? So when it rains then how? Won't the rain come in and extinguish the fire? If there's a cover over the hole, won't the smoke be trapped in the house? I thought maybe the chimney turns perpendicularly after some height but I don't remember chimneys being crooked cos then the fussy neighbours would have complaint!

Hahaha perplexing right? Fran and I pondered over it for the longest time over the phone and even Ms Tan didn't know! Sarah said I'm kuku. Heh but I know the answer already after consulting my smart parents. :D Tralalas. Go sit on it and no Googling allowed!

Go read Xiaxue's blog if your poor brains need a rest like mine! Hahaha her latest entry (as of 15th Aug cos I just realised she's got new posts) is freaking hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. Be warned that it's abit explicit in content though! But if you don't mind go read then you can laugh with me! Hahaha.

I'm gonna nap now until dinner then Math tuition then I shall attempt to study till 6am and sleep till 12nn and go for the afternoon paper tomorrow. Statistics and what minute part of Pure Math left, I'm gonna own you up down left right and centre.

Okay, at least that is the plan.

Oh, and reminder to all JC kids reading this: REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR ENTRY PROOF! I forgot mine today and it was so freaking troublesome. And the comparison question for Lit was so hard! ): I spent the longest time and the most pen ink on it and I think I'm gonna get the lousiest grade. Irony identified.

2 more papers! Sleeeeeep!

Your Humble Narrator

Your Humble Narrator

Ahhh The Great Literature is driving Your Humble Narrator to her vonny little grave, O my brothers. Oh YARBLES to thy great feminist utopia Herland. I don't give two cals if all those starry ptitsas can have babies on their oddy knocky simply by having some horrorshow motherly feeling overcoming them. Bolshy great yarblockos to thee and thine!

Hahaha I think the paragraph above would only make sense to Lit students. But anyways, I read an entire book with language like that this afternoon and it's driving Your Humble Narrator and Friend utterly insane! It's about 11.15pm now and there's still freaking Herland for me to read through. Eeks I hate Herland and its author Charlotte Perkins Gilman. She is one weird woman with heaps of weird ideas about women being men-like but able to give birth all by themselves like freaking amobae! And then she goes and commits suicide by stuffing herself with chlorofoam. And I am supposed to be really convinced by all these strange things she writes?!

Argh, on top of all that I can't fit the freaking novel in any of my comparisons and I refuse to write an essay about it on its own because I'd fail miserably and I don't want to fail my otherwise favourite subject! Eeks I hate Herland and all the feminism it carries.

I mean, what is wrong with all these women? Isn't it perfectly nice to have guys around to carry heavy stuffs, open the doors, pull out the chairs and do all the sweaty and gross stuffs that for us? It's a hard fact that the men are stronger physically and stuffs so why do you want to go and fight for equality when it'll still disadvantage women because ultimately I say ladies should be privileged! Hahaha now I think all the feminists hate me to the core for being such a typical spoilt girl. But sorry I enjoy my feminity as it is, thank you very much.

Oh anyway anyway, I thought this line from A Clockwork Orange (the book with the weird language that is) is really funny! It follows the scene where Alex (Your Humble Narrator for that novel) and his friends robbed a man and raped his wife (I know, interesting stuffs we do for Lit, huh? Haha.) and the bunch of them were driving the away and the car was out of petrol. (And I think this paragraph has far too many brackets.)

"... we viddied the fuel needle had like collapsed, like our own ha ha ha needles had..."

Hahaha I thought it was hilarious and so subtly clever in a way! And yes I highlighted the line just for the kicks of it, much to the horror of Fran. Haha! Nevermind if you don't get the joke. :D

Blah I should really go off now and perhaps read the summary and the most important parts of the pastoral-set holier-than-thou feminist oh-so-great utopia. Ha! Sense the contempt. Off goes Your Humble Narrator!

Oh oh, this is totally random but I just realised I haven't blogged about New Year's Eve! Hahaha so here's a group photo (which is not really so because half of them went off already) from that night/morning after some high moments at Holland to keep you entertained for now. Soon soon! (:

Twenty oh seven, no one told me it'd pass so fast.

hold your breath!

hold your breath!

Hello world. 5 hours of sleep and 6 hours of exams have not left me a very happy creature so considered yourself warned about the explicit bitching that will follow in this entry.

So far, I'm done with GP, Econs, Lit Paper 4 and freaking Math Paper 1. Omg, sitting in the freezing/stuffy exam hall for 3 hours straight is NO JOKE. I was so appalled I seriously didn't know what to do with myself after like the first hour. By the time I got to the end of the first DRQ (cos I did my essay first and btw you have to do 2 DRQs and 1 essay within 3hours), I was seriously brain dead and writing with my eyes closed. Haha the result of skipping both my mocks. It was my first horrible 3hour experience of Econs.

Today was by far the worst exam day ever. I couldn't wipe the smirk off my face when I threw my Lit books and my GC into my bag this morning. Talk about paradox man. I rushed in for the morning Lit paper when everyone was seated already because I simply couldn't wake up. And while waiting for the paper to start some guy let out a farting smelly fart! Yucks it was so gross okay! YUCK YUCK YUCK! And then halfway through the paper I began to detect wafts of BO in the air! I couldn't figure where it was coming from, and I started wondering if it was coming from ME and I was completely mortified at the thought of it! Hahaha. But it was really quite smelly! And I confirmed it wasn't coming from me okay.

Math paper in the afternoon was even worse. It was so freaking hard! ): I think I'm gonna fail. Wails. Hahaha I made a rhyme! Yeah but anyway it was a horrid paper. And I was horrified when the teacher came and clear ALL MEMORY on my calculator. Usually we only clear the RAM, but this time it clears all the applications too! Argh. To think I was so happy about not having to remember the circle equations and all that because it would be in the calculator. Eeks. And it didn't help that the invigilators droned on and on and on and on and on and on (it was seriously so long) about the same old things in the same breathe! If they repeat on a daily basis, fine I can understand. But to repeat whatever another teacher has just mentioned before you? I just wanted to get out of the exam hall after 3freaking hours.

Coming to that point, it was because the BO got worse in the afternoon AND IT WAS A COMPLETE, UTTER NIGHTMARE! Throughout the 3hours I just held my jacket to my nose. It was no mean feat; my left hand got so tired I seriously contemplated tying the sleeves around my nose and risk looking like a huge idiot. Eeks but it was the worst 3hours of my life - Math + BO, not your ideal combination huh. Double eeyew! Oh yuck, I can smell it in my nostrils now! Shudders. I need to wash my nostrils. I might bring my own table air freshener the next paper, since people around me like to fart and have BO. What do they call it? OWNAGE.

I know this is horribly mean but I think it'd be great if people with BO would actually do something about it. Yeah they didn't choose it by birth, but it's not too hard to invest in some cheap deodorant maybe? It's really bad for people around them. Like Yours Truly. ): And I warned you about the bitchy content.

Oh, someone save my soul. There're still 4 x 3hours' papers to go. And physical geog tomorrow afternoon. I'm about 20% done but I refuse to touch anything tonight. My brains might explode into tiny smithereens and I won't be able to write anymore bitchy witty stuffs about people or create anymore silly rhymes. This examination period is super tiring, the most draining one I've ever had. I might be the first A level student to die of caffeine overdose by the way.

Alright, I shall leave you off with a bitchy picture of myself to complete this truly bitchy entry.

In case I'm missed much! :D
Along with my narcissism. (I look like I have nice short hair too!)
It's obligation, my friend.

books aside

books aside

Okay, so the plan was study the whole day. It was pretty successful from 1pm to about 4pm, doing the neverending Great Expectations, even though I was supposed to finish most J2 stuffs by today. Oh wells.

Just as my self-declared 4pm-4.30pm break was ending, Mommy's 2 little god-daughters poppped by! It's only basic courtesy to stay in the living room for awhile when guests come, right? But the moment I decided to go back to my room and continue with my mugging, my brother and the elder girl had the permission to overtake my room and play the computer! Oh dammit, I hate the fact that the newer, faster, nicer, sleeker and gamer computer is in my room. I hate it when my room turns into some kinda playground for kids. Argh. I HATE IT. See, I told you I can't stand kids above 5 all the way until they're maybe 15. The worst ten years of adolescence for anyone out of their age group.

So anyways I migrated to my brother's room and the cute little toddler of maybe 3 padded into the room and squealed with delighted upon discovering a new room and more toys on the bed and the window sill. Haha and that was it, she just won't let go of my hand the rest of the afternoon. She'd run at me from a distance and jump into my arms, and then I'd lift her up and twirl her around abit. It amuses her to no end, but it's freaking tiring! And the kid had no notion of the word TIRED. None at all. She keeps running at me despite me saying STOP STOP STOOOP! You just have to be there or the girl will crash into the wall! Haha.

And that continued until I found something new to keep her occupied. CARTOONS ON TV! For once, I adore Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. It lasted while it was good, and then she got tired and hungry and whiny so her Mom had to take her home while the older one threw a tantrum about wanting to stay longer. So the younger one goes home and the older one stays until her Dad comes later in the evening - not terribly good news for me. At least they're downstairs playing badminton now until dinner, therefore returning me my room (with sticky floor and sticky desk). :D

Okay, now they're back and it's time for dinner. Studying shall definitely resume RIGHT AFTER.

The little bundle of joy.

The two big kids in my personal playground.

Omg you totally have to read my previous post and check out the advertisement thingies below the tagboard.

It's freaking hilarious! Ride after I blogged about my getting locked out of my room, they put up lock advertisements! Hahaha. Superb job.

Oh, I think I'm not supposed to be drawing attention to these advertisements because it's considered cheating. But since I'm not earning money (except when you consider 20 US cents a great fortune) anyway, let them sue me! :D

always kids

always kids

National day today, and stayhome day for all of us. :D My brother and I ended up pillowfighting with the cushions on the couch and chased each other around the house. Then he got ice from the fridge then threw it at me. I picked it up and tried to shove is down his back so he ran all the way to the kitchen. I raced him there, cornered him and he hung on to the clothes rack next to the washing machine and the whole thing came crashing down. Hahaha!

So it was his turn to chase me. I ran to my room, took out the keys from the door (because the lock was not working and the door can only be opened with the keys) and slammed it shut. After awhile we truced and I went to shower in Mommy's room.

Meanwhile, the windows in my room were wide opened and the wind was coming through pretty strong. Directly opposite is the slightly opened door. And BAM! I came out of the showers and found myself shut out, with the only set of keys inside.

HAHA. Being the kids we were, we tried all sorts of things - hairpins, old credit cards, other keys, wire and everything else you've seen on TV to try and pick the lock until Mommy shoo-ed us away and called the locksmith before my brother kicked the door down.

The guy came and worked for about 30seconds, opened the door and announced that the lock was perfectly fine, just that we kinda hit the auto-lock trigger and didn't know it. Hahaha. For that half a minute of work and one golden line, it was 50bucks.

Yes, all these and I'm the elder one at eighteen. Hahaha!

driving past

driving past

I sat at the bus stop waiting for Daddy to come pick me up because I was carrying a huge file and my buscard ran out of money. Ten minutes later I swear I saw his car zooming past, right past me.

I called him, "Daddy! You just drove past!"

"Yeah, I just did, huh. OH YAH I WAS SUPPOSED TO PICK YOU UP!"

Hahaha omg I couldn't stop laughing man! He simply forgot that he was picking me up because he was singing to the song playing on the stereo. And finally he appeared at the bus stop after another ten minutes because the detour he had to make was gi-mongous. Haha totally hilarious.
