Os. Are. OVER! Scream! Okay, I know I'm lagging here, but well, I am still basking in the joy of throwing all those thick notes and worksheets away! Scccreeeeaaammm!
I've been having fun, fun, fun and more fun! My days are so packed and exciting!
Okay, I really have to stop talking in exclaimation marks! Because this is gonna be a long, long entry. I wanna capture every bit of fun-ness over the last few days. =)
18th November 2005. A very very significant date. I conquered my last paper! And headed down to py's chalet right after that. All I could do was to stop myself from jumping up and down on the MRT. But we laughed all the way.
I was quite sleepy and tired on the first night. And I got bored somehow. So sarah, wx, matin and I went for a long night walk. We crossed the Tampines Park Connector and went past The Fisherman's Village. We ran and jumped and chased each other. It didn't seem that we've gone very far. Seem is a dangerous word.
Finally, we reached a small road with private housing on both sides. It looked so like the houses just outside of the chalet. We decided that we wanna try walking back by the road.
And so we walk. And walked. And walked. And walked.
Taxi after taxi after taxi after taxi drove past.
But we had no money with us! Being the smart asses we were, we didn't bring our phone either.
So we continued to walk and walk and walk and walk. The road was never-ending. Just when we were deciding if we wanted to just sit at the bus stop and wait for sunrise, a taxi stopped opposite us.
"Hey! You guys want a ride to the main road?" the kind soul asked.
"Is Costa Sands Chalets anywhere nearby?"
"Costa Sands? It's really far!"
Goodness, I felt like eating my hair! Althought the clouds were thick that night, my lucky stars managed to shine down on us. The driver decided to drive us back for free!
I kept wondering if he was well, you know, human. Wx and matin kept thinking we were being kidnapped. I was glad the driver wasn't a mind-reader.
So we reached the chalet safely. I played sisccors-(someone save me, I still don't know how to spell the damn word)-paper-stone with ZhengHao. The one who lost would get slapped. Really hard. I got addicted. To winning. It was sooooo not fun to slap him 16times in a row! Seriously, the game is addictive. Don't try if you don't wanna get a very sore cheek. So unlike mine.
I haven't been so crazy in such a long time.
Right after the chalet, we went shopping for prom stuffs! It is a such a long and difficult process! I've spent at least ten hours walking around town and trying gown
s and shoes, and I still haven't bought a thing! But it was great fun trying on complicated dresses, with the risk of drowning in the dress before you head gets out from the other side.I love the girly fun I had with sarah and py. It was so hilarious to squeeze into one fitting room and get scolded for trying to take pictures. =D
Right after shopping, I went for Council Dinner at Telok Blangah Safra. It was quite a glam evening. And I was fashionably late. By one entire hour. The power of shopping. =)
I sat at the same table as Mr Singh. The moment I sat down, I started whining non-stop to HuiHui and Yiting about
how my heels were killing after walking around for lie 4hours. When I was finally done and looked up, I saw Mr Singh staring at me. He was listening! And apparently understood because he tossed me a sweet and said "this should make you feel better". Some teachers are plain nice. =) But the thing is, I was speaking in rapid Chinese. Hmm, how did he understand?
Or just maybe, whining is a universal language, only second to music!
Oh, I was in time to catch the
2nd game. Four pairs had to grace the stage (which is actually a small little red platform), and the lady was supposed to feed the guy some witch's brew with a milkbottle! Very entertaining!
A lovely night it was.
