retardedness

retardedness

Such a happening day!

Shu and I gave Geog tutorial a miss today and slacked at the void deck, doing work, listening to music and just talking about random stuffs. I like it when the it's kinda empty at the void deck. =D Oh yeah then I saw a fat house lizard crawling on the floor. So I pointed it out to Shu, and we just sat there staring at the lizard, wondering if it'll climb back onto the wall. Then a bird came along. Apparently it saw the lizard and chased it and the sad little reptile couldn't get away fast enough and the dumb bird PECKED OFF ITS TAIL AND ATE IT! And the lizard crawled away without its tail.

YUCK! So absolutely disgusting! Yes I know that the lizard's tail will grow again but it is still damn gross! It's like the first time I've seen a bird eating living things! Eeeeewwwww. We gagged for the longest time.

Sheryl, Shu, Oliver, May and I wanted to head to town for lunch! But it was like 5pm by the time we reached town due to the horrible traffic and the movie was at 5.15pm. Sheryl had to reach home around 6pm. May had training at 5.30pm. Haha so basically we just took a bus to town so that we can then go our separate ways. Lols.

But the bus trip was so much fun! We were behaving like tourists, taking loads and loads of random pictures and Shu and Sheryl were so high they couldn't stop laughing all the way. I think we were the only ones making noise on the bus but we couldn't be bothered to tone down. I bet aunties who wanted to catch their forty winks were highly annoyed with us. Haha. I shall post all the pictures tomorrow! =D

Anyway, we were fashionably late for our movie after the rest left. And we paid 10bucks each for some lousy cinema at Lido! Cinema 5 was just about the size of 2classrooms. And the alphabets indicating the rows of seats were not illuminated! Due to our lateness, it was already all dark when we went into the cinema and we walked up and down the aisle but couldn't find our seats! So we just stood there trying so hard not to laugh out loud while trying to figure out where row D was. Haha in the end we dahsed out of the cinema to check the seating plan and collasped in an avalanche of laughter. Hahaha. It was so retarded.

When we finally found our seats, I had to go to the washroom. When I came back, I somehow forgot that the the seats were those foldable kinds that you have to pull down. I FORGOT. And I just walked to my seat and sat down without pulling and sat down and BLOOP! I ended up on the floor! Hahahahaha. How spastic! And I just sat there on the floor while Shu laughed her head off. Tsk, embarassment! Lols.

Oh oh, when I went home I went straight to the kitchen to get a drink and I saw this gigantic cockroach when I switched on the lights! I was such a brave girl I slammed the kitchen door close and went to call Daddy to fly home to slay the damned thing. Haha.

Take the Lead is a superduper hot show and the dances are sooooo sexy! Ballroom dancing never looked so good. =D

school can be so much fun

school can be so much fun

I went to school late today. Again. Haha the security guard was really nice today. He spoke to me as if I was a tramautised kid and kept reassuring me that nothing bad would happen to me, and I won't get detention for this since it wasn't my fault that I had "dental appointment". And I was worrying if he'd recognise me cos I came in arnd 10 last Wed and Thurs, with similar... reasons. Haha.

We were so mean to Lao Shi today. We came in near 10minutes late for lesson and dumped our bags and "went to the washroom". What we did was so funny. We did went to the washroom, got ALOT of toilet paper and wetted them, so we got lumps of wet toilet paper. Then we ran (crouching cos we had go past our classroom) to the stairwell of level 5, where the windows open out to the generator area outside the Science Labs. We threw the toilet paper down into the superduperfast-spinning blades of the generator and POP! The lump of wet tissue exploded out and flew all over the place! It was like momentary snow! Hahahaha. We were so amazed and you wouldn't believe how fun it was! Lols. Sheryl threw a lump that just bounced out of the the generator like a cannonball. We laughed like mad women. Haha and finally returned for Chinese class when we ran out of ammunition.

And in case you're wondering what gave the idea, we saw lumps of dried toilet paper stuck to the side of the generator thing and wondered why people threw toilet paper down. No wonder they said curiousity killed the cat.

Shu and I decided to skip Economics Lecture at last! We just couldn't stand the lecturer anymore. She screams at me at every single lecture. Eeks. We hung out at the void deck with Yan, Sheryl and Mel (who erm missed their Math) and gossiped major time! Haha we had a great time discussing hubby-material guys. We came to the conclusion that Barker guys are richer than (I )guys. And the plan about how we'd make our filthy rich future hubbies sign some wordy contract which they'd be too lazy to read and get all their cold hard cash! Shu came up with a wonderful idea. WRITE YOUR CONTRACT IN CHINESE! Hahaha. Yea, that's us. Taitai wannabes. =D

Watched the rugby match, ACJ vs CJC after that. It was a boring game. The bees are stinging everyone's asses. 59 - 3. Haha. And soccer won NYJC 10 - 0! So cool. I spent half the time trying to match the CJC jersey to some animal. The closest I came was blue zebras. Haha. Their jerseys were pretty nice, but their players kept missing the ball and it was big time embarassment with half of AC watching. Haha I bet everyone was more willing to stay back for this than the Annual Track and Field Meet yesterday.

Then Sarah and I made went all the way to Temasek Poly to play a friendly with Zenith. Temasek Poly was HUMOGOUSLY HUGE. It was like a kingdom and we spent like 8minutes trying to find the netball court even though we cabbed in. If I studied there I'd need three months of orientation. Haha. It was a good game and we won by a few goals I think.

Oh and Zenith has a MEN'S NETBALL TEAM! They even represented Singapore and came in third! Tsk, and the mountain turtle Mengqi didn't even hear of an official men's team before. Anyway, they were all so freaking tall we had a hard time even getting the ball pass their hands. It was kinda weird seeing a guy with a netball though. Haha.

Yay I love school, love my class, love my friends, love netball and I shall go to bed now so that I'll wake up in time for badminton at PE! =D

as promised - red frog!

as promised - red frog!

the red frog that had ashley utterly grossed out =D

Oh yea, this reminds of Jiajun's frog joke which he told over dinner last Friday.

"What's the frog's best friend?"

"Er, housefly?"

"No, it's the rabbit. When the frog croaks: 'rabrab'."

PLEASE LAUGH! The guy made this joke up all by himself. A random thought while eating his roasted chicken. So yeps, that's my entertaining friend. Lols.

PE + good food = happy me!

PE + good food = happy me!

Badminton, chocolates and icecream make my day!

We played badminton for PE this morning and it was heaps of fun! This is like the first time I'm not dreading and complaining about PE! Haha. Anyway we kept rotating partners and the most tiring partner was Oliver, who's 1.88m tall. Due to our minor height difference (30cm is NOT that much okay!), every shuttle that came was out of reach, unless I jumped. So the whole time I just felt like I was doing some jumping drill. Jump and hit. Jump and hit. Jump and hit. Until you miss! Haha. And May kicked Mr. Mark Ng's ass! Cool! Try harder, sir!

Oh and after PE we decided to go to the Cafe to get drinks simply because the canteen was too far. And being the good students we were, we didn't wanna be too late for class. Just a mere 15minutes for a 40minute lesson. Haha. ANYWAY, I found almost the whole selection of MEIJI CHOCOLATES and other goodies there! =D So I ended up spending like over 5bucks because everything just looked so good. Haha, yes I know, I know. Such a glutton. But hey, it's meiji chocs!

Had dinner with Sarah, Wx, Sc, Xm, JJ and Matin at Breeks in town in the evening. Sarah and I placed a wrong order and had to make do with some seafood baked pasta thingie. Yuck. I'm craving for chicken baked rice! Haha. But desert SURE made it all up!

We went to Venela or something like that and had ice cream! Weren't we just spoilt for choice with sooooo many flavours available! Yay! I tried butterscotch, mango, tiramisu, belgian chocolate, dark chocolate, green tea, black sesame (yes they have such cool flavours!), vanilla, strawberry, chocolate mint, rum and raisins and some others I can't remember. My tastebuds were exploding from sampling all the icecream!

Pure heaven. =D

frogs, bees and cows

frogs, bees and cows

I'm on a natural high now! Haha I have no idea why but I'm feeling really happy! =D

Okay, I guess it's cos I'm finally coming to the end of this horrible week with FOUR freaking tests! Though I probably failed two of the four. Haha. I'm SURE I'll do really well for GP due to the mass smart studying method. ;) And I'll be so happy for my friends who will do SO WELL for their Geography!

Went for a team dinner with the netballers last Saturday. It was one hungry and funny affair, so good for relaxation after training! Everyone was so chatty and humorous and we went all around Holland V looking for kangkong to satisfy Kah Yee's random craving for, in Amanda's words, "grass with seasoning". We finally found the veggie at some food court and paid 6bucks for a pathetically small plate of kangkong. So the 8 or so of us sat at the table, sharing one plate of kangkong. And left right after that. I bet the hawkers were horrified. They probably thought it was our dinner or something. Haha.

Anyway, the rugby team played their matches with MI and NYJC last Thursday and this afternoon respectively. The MI match was so funny to watch. I thought they looked like cows in their red and blue skin tight jerseys! Ashley was so amused when I told her about it just now. But they were just so damn huge! In comparison NYJC looked like frogs today. Yes I know their jerseys' red but hey, there ARE really red frogs! If I weren't so lazy I'd post the picture I found. Tomorrow perhaps.

Okay, since I've commented on both teams I think I should be fair and say something about the ACJ team too. They look like bumble bees in various shapes and sizes! And the scores for the matches? The cows and frogs got stung! Hahahaha.

I hope I don't get weird stares in school for this. And that no MIers or NYJCians read this.

at random

at random

I had Math and Economics tests yesterday. I was pretty sure I failed both of them.

And today I'm surer. I got back my Math test. I scored a whooping 5 out of 16. Haha. And I have a perfect explanation for my shocking marks! Because I've spent the money that was supposed to buy me the high-tech graphic calculator, I have yet to get one. So I borrowed Sarah's for the test. And I spent 8minutes in a half an hour test trying to figure out which function would allow me to modulus my equation! I think I pressed every key in the damned calculator before I found the damned function. Oh well.

Anyway, Sarah came over and junked yesterday! Then my chubby 10year old brother came home and joined us an hour later. As we cleared almost everything edible, he dug out a bag of fortune cookies from somewhere to eat. And this was his first fortune slip of the day:

"You are putting on weight. Time to exercise!"

Hahaha. He threw the cookie away.

a little can go a long way

a little can go a long way

If you're walking on the street and an old man/lady comes up to you and asks for 2dollars for his/her bus trip or dinner or whatever other purposes, please, stop comtemplating if he's/she's lying. Give.

While we were strolling along Singapore's glamarous Orchard Road this evening, an old lady came up to the bunch of us and asked for 2dollars. Sadly, some of us turned her away. When Cynthia and I realised what was happening, we felt really bad and went after her. But we couldn't find her. She was gone. And left us feeling selfish and guilty.

How much can 2dollars matter to you? But to her, it could have gone a long, long way. Who knows what a life story she has to tell? Who knows what may be happening in her life? For all you know, it could have been the most crucial 2dollars at that point in time. Whether she's genuinely in need of the money or not, it is okay to give. I mean, how well-off can she be if she has to resort to asking for money along Orchard Road? At her age, she should be at home enjoying her days with her family. But yet, here she was, laying down her pride and dignity, and asking for money from strangers.

Love makes the world go round. Share a little. It doesn't have to be much. But it can go a long, long way. Go beyond our pampered lives and share the love. You never know how much it may mean.

On a lighter note, dinner with Cynthia and her classmates was pretty cool at Marche's. As usual, there was too much good food to choose from. We went around ordering like it was a buffet. We just couldn't help it! And we were utterly devastated that we didn't the stomache and the cash to try the Strawberry Waffle! That is gonna be the first order I'll make the next time I dine at Marche's! =D

Oh, and I overheard a guy telling his girlfriend my heels are pretty! I'm so flattered. =) But they are really painful to walk in. I worship the guy who invented plasters.

food for thought

food for thought

I've been in a very dreamy mood recently, always spacing out and lost in a daze. This is very bad! Especially when I'm supposed to pay attention in class and all. But well, you can't really control your mood, can you?

Anyway, I just saw this in Nicole's blog and it made sent me into the dreamy mood AGAIN. Haha. But it's something nice to share. So here goes.

Have you wondered which hurts the most?
Saying something and wishing you hadn't?
Or saying nothing and wishing you had?

I guess the most important things are the hardest to say.
Don't be afraid to tell someone you love them.
If you do, they might break your heart...
if you don't, you might break theirs.

Have you ever decided not to become a couple because you were so afraid of losing what you already had with that person?
Your heart decides whom it likes and whom it doesn't.
You can't tell your heart what to do.
It does it on its own...when you least suspect it, or even when you don't want it to.

Have you ever wanted to love someone with everything you had, but that other person was too afraid to let you?
Too many of us stay walled up because we are too afraid to care too much...for fear that the other person does not care as much, or even at all.

Have you ever denied your feelings for someone because your fear of rejection was too hard to handle?
We tell lies when we are afraid... afraid of what we don't know, afraid of what others will think, afraid of what will be found out about us.
But every time we tell a lie, the thing we fear grows stronger.Life is all about risks and it requires you to jump.

Don't be a person who has to look back and wonder what they would have done, or could have had.

What would you do if every time you fell in love you had to say good-bye?

What would you do if every time you wanted someone they would never be there?

What would you do if your best friend died tomorrow and you never got to tell them how you felt? (even if it is that you don't care anymore)

What would you do if you loved someone more than ever and you couldn't have them?

What would you do if you never got the chance to say I am friends with all of my family and they know I love them?
~
Yea this is pretty sad, but quite meaningful huh? Just something to think about. =)
