To the victims of 9/11
We can remember.
We can pray.
To our heroes and civillians who died when America's WTC came crashing down. It was one of the world's most heartbreak tragedies. Caused by the world's very own people. This is what terrorism has done to the world, no matter what the cause.
9/11 wasn't the first case of terrorism. But it was definitely one that drew the most media attention, and one that shocked the world. The saddest thing about it isn't about the victims; it's about how the world watched them cry but still let the same damn thing happen over and over again. The Bali bombing in October 2002, the attacks in Madrid in March 2004, the 7th July bombings in London and so many more. Why?
Let's keep peace and love in prayer tonight, for those who perished in all the tragedies, for those who lost their loved ones, for the heros who went running into the inferno when everyone was running out, for you, for me and for the world so plagued with violence and war.
To Steve Irwin, our favourite Croc Hunter
He was such a great man - the man, who shared with the world so passionately his love for animals and nature; the man who rode on the backs of giant crocodiles and held snakes by the tail; the man who lived and gave his life to the creatures of the earth. His sudden death was simply so sad.
Dear Mr Steve Irwin, I've shed a tear for you watching you dance at the jaws of death doing what you love to do and will always remember you fondly as the good old Crocodile Hunter. I wish your family all the strength in this time of loss and sadness.
